Hi Everyone!
It's been a little while since I sent a newsletter. How is everyone
enjoying their almost summer? I know a couple of you are in the
midwest--you're in my thoughts with all the flooding. Half of my
hometown is under water, which reminds me of what it looked like in
'93.
It's hot and sticky here. Thank goodness for AC!
I took a bit of a break for a few weeks, but now I'm back in full
force. Today alone I added nine new baubles and a bauble set to
Hecate's. There's also a lovely lemon citrine and garnet necklace
and matching earrings available, as well as a set in Dalmatian
Jasper, which is one of my all-time favorites. The lemon citrine set
shows off my new "soldering" talent, as I actually *made* all of
those closed rings you see, and yes, I'm pretty pleased with myself
;)
Waiting in the wings are some of the MOST AWESOME polymer clay beads
ever, crafted by etsy artisan Alissa Plant (divadea on etsy). I'll
be using these to create some light-hearted summer designs to be
posted in the next week or so.
If you're in the Bethlehem, PA area please stop by the Susquehanna
Bank near Wegman's on 512. I am the proud "business of the month,"
and many of my designs are currently on display and for sale there at
the branch. Friday is a good day to go--they've been having yummy
soft pretzels for Customer Appreciation Day Fridays lately! They
also have good free checking and a kick-butt staff. I would know, I
used to work there. Don't feel bad about strolling in to look,
either, just tell them I sent you!
Don't forget, Summer is wedding season! If you are or know a bride,
mother-of, bride's maids, etc, please stop by the shop and see what I
can do to make the day extra-special. I'll be happy to design
something unique just for you or adapt a magazine-found design for
probably a lot cheaper than you'd find it commercially, especially
for the ever popular Swarovski crystal and pearl designs. Even
special orders are guaranteed.
Some pictures are attached. The lovely little goddess is available
at Be Witchy. Enjoy!
Blessings,
Jenny

Yep.
For those of you who haven't heard, starting on Sunday May 4 we had
1) a head gasket on Don's car go 2) our cat hurt his foot=vet bill 3)
Don broke a tooth.
The good news is that I have been a busy little bee, adding new
necklaces, sets, and baubles to the websites. The EVEN BETTER news
for you is that I'm offering a massive discount to try to raise some
money to help cover our fun new emergency bills. At Hecate's and
BeWitchy take 40% off of the listed price. If you bought from me in
April or May either online or at a show your discount is 45%! All
you need to do is shop on etsy as you normally would but DO NOT PAY
at the end. I'll send you a revised invoice with your new and much
cheaper total.
The second part of this is that I will ask your forgiveness in
advance, as I'm going to send all of you an invitation to RME, the
"RevolutionMoneyExchange." It's a way to accept payments and/or send
money similar to paypal except that it's an actual account with a
bank (and they will ask for your SSN because banks must do this,
thank the PATRIOT act). IF you sign up before May 15 they
automatically deposit $25 into your account. I get two things out of
it--a $10 deposit for every account opened on my referral AND a new
way to take payments that doesn't eat fees like paypal.
OOH! I suppose I could get a third thing--you could spend your $25
at Hecate's ;)
We know everyone is feeling the crunch right now. THANK YOU to all
of you who've spent your Mothers Day gift budget, or any part of it,
with us!
Blessings,
Jenny

Hi Everyone!
I'm busy as can be trying to beef out my stock for THREE upcoming
events, and I can't tell you how excited I am! Most of you are aware
of my own Open House on Sunday April 13. If you didn't get an email
invitation and you'd like one please let me know. My friend Anmarie
is graciously hostessing a party for me the next weekend, and then
two weeks later I'll be vending at the Kutztown University campus
Renaissance Faire. Those of you who've made purchases in the last
three weeks or so have helped me pay for the new stock, so THANK YOU
very much.
Unfortunately I don't have any new pictures to share. Most likely I
won't be adding many new items until May, once these three shows are
over. But hang in there, and it'll definitely be worth the wait.
Blessings,
Jenny

Hi Everyone!
I'm gearing up for my Jewelry Open House on Sunday April 13. If
anyone didn't receive an individual invitation and would like one
please email me at Jenny (at) HHearth (dot) net.
Today I received one of my new shipments of gemstones, and I'm really
excited! I found some truly GORGEOUS deep dark big round garnet
beads, which are hard to come by. I also got in some nice sized
rainbow moonstone and labradorite beads, as well as these
unusually-shaped faceted labradorite rondelles--just breathtaking!
If you aren't sure, a rondelle is like a 3-D puffy oval drilled
through the short way, or if it's easier to imagine, a squashed
sphere. Last week I received new and beautiful citrine and carnelian
beads, too. I've been so busy filling orders that I haven't had the
time to use the new stuff, but as a sneak peak I've included pictured
of some of these beads attached. The colors turned out pretty well,
but the carnelian comes through a little dark. the garnet is indeed
such a deep red that it's almost black.
I also included pictures of some new pairs of earrings. The first is
14k gold-filled hoops wrapped with genuine lemon citrine, garnet, and
peridot beads. They're very springy! There are also pictures of
some in copper. The skulls and roses are my fav.
If you see a new stone and HAVE to have something made with it before
it's available to anyone else please send me an email. You'll get
dibs :)
Thanks, and have a Happy Spring!

Hi Everyone!
It just occurred to me that it's been quite a while since I sent out
a newsletter, and while I don't have any new pieces to show off this
week, I thought I'd say "hello!"
I *do* have some news regarding the store to share. In the last few
weeks, the prices of silver and gold have gone up significantly. I
just had to order silver, and I paid 25% more per ounce this time
than the last time I ordered. I was going to order more gold-filled
wire, too, but I believe that the new price on the gold-fill was
actually 33% more than before Christmas. As a result, I'm going to
have to raise my prices. I haven't yet decided by how much, but it
may well be by a full 25%, to reflect my increase in cost. But I'm
not doing it quite yet.
What I'll do is wait until Friday March 14 to adjust my pricing at
all three websites. Think of this as an "advanced warning" sale :)
If there's something you've been thinking about getting, now is
certainly the time!
http://hecates.etsy.comhttp://jenniferschumaker.etsy.comhttp://bewitchy.etsy.com
Next week I plan on having a plethora of new pieces to show you, as
I'm now officially on Spring Break.
You know you're old when the last thing you want to do during Spring
Break is flee south to someplace warm because of all the "kids" that
will be partying there and making too much noise...<sigh>

eBay Blowout!
Hi Everyone,
Today was the final day of posting earrings on eBay, at least for a
while. There are 14, yes, 14 pairs of earrings up for auction right
now. Some are brand new and some are oldies but goodies that haven't
yet found homes. All of them are in new condition and will arrive
gift boxed and on signed cards. *Most* auctions are starting at a
penny, with a few at $.99. Unlike a lot of sellers, I combine
shipping from eBay with no additional charge, and shipping is only
$2.50. I HATE it when people sell stuff for cheap and then charge
$15 to ship. That's just silly.
http://myworld.ebay.com/hecatestore
In other news, the new business cards are on their merry way as we
speak. They're a lovely purple color and the actually have the right
web address on them :)
At the etsy store there are several new pairs of earrings with the
lovely new pearls I just got in, as well as Simple Swirl Baubles that
look like chocolates. I'm not really a kitschy kind of girl, but
sometimes I just can't resist! Another artisan on etsy traded me
these beads for a necklace set she fell in love with, and I couldn't
be happier with them. I think a coordinating bracelet is in the
works, even if I decide to keep it for myself...
I also have a test store in the works for the more "high end" pieces
I've created. It's "Jennifer Schumaker Designs," also on etsy. I
haven't yet decided if I'm going to keep it, but you're welcome to
take a look and let me know what you think.
http://jenniferschumaker.etsy.com
As a bonus, any member of this list can take 20% of their order at
"Jennifer Schumaker Designs," anytime now through February 14th.
Please just write "list member" in the message to seller at etsy and
wait for me to send you a revised invoice before you pay.
As always, happy shopping!

to look yet.

Right now I'm adding a few items with a Valentine's Day theme.
Currently for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage style dangle
earrings with ruby red drops on matching Simple Swirl Earrings (also
available with a single drop instead of three). I also just added an
antiqued copper necklace with a hand crafted heart focal pendant. Be
sure to see those!
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8987365http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9125293
Also newly available are unisex rings in antiqued copper. I've
made myself one of the double spiral style in sterling and I just
have to wear it every day! The wide bands are VERY comfortable...
Don (my husband) adopted the first one in the wrapped style, and he
wears his all the time too. I'm waiting on Darren's opinion
regarding some other styles before I make them available.
Rings:

New today at the "Be Witchy!" shop is "The Oak King" necklace. I
discovered a source for really awesome ceramic pendants, and I just
had to try this one out. Gentlemen, it can be de-feminized if you
like it but don't care for the additional embellishment beads, and it
costs a bit less "naked."

Hi All,
Last night I moved some things around and marked down the old
stock. It has to go! I need more room for new items that "fit"
better into the style I'm developing.
That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with ANY of these pieces.
They're all first quality. They've just been around for a while and
need homes.
Go to http://hecates.etsy.com and check out the CLOSEOUT section

looked at before and thought "hmmmm, maybe someday when I have the
money..." and get them before someone else does!

Happy New Year!
Dear All,
For those of you who got caught up in the holiday craziness, thank
you for your patience. The last waiting order went out on Tuesday
and that was sent Priority, so it should arrive by tomorrow at the
latest. If you ordered something before Christmas and haven't
received it please notify me right away.
For anyone who may have ordered through ETSY, please don't forget to
leave feedback! It works a lot like eBay. My feedback rating tells
other potential customers what they can expect from me and my
merchandise.
As of today there are four new items available in the store: 2
necklaces and two necklace and earring sets. I'll attach pictures
for you. It's been so long since I really did anything but earrings
that I've had a lot of fun creating these pieces, and I think it
shows!
The first is the coolest, if I do say so myself. A while back I
bought some really beautiful BIG faceted gemstones, but I discovered
that they really weren't quite big enough to wrap, and I don't really
so any metalsmithing. So, they've been laying around, either unused
or unpurchased. More recently I discovered the beauty of brass, and
now have a way to set these stones. It makes very vintage looking
pieces, which isn't exactly my style, but I very much like the
results! What you see is a HUGE, ~9 carat real rose quartz wrapped
in a brass setting. It positively glows when the light hits it
directly, and it's so clear that you can see the brass through it at
an angle. It is pale, but it's quite lovely.
Second is a lampwork glass bead I had to have but didn't know what to
use it for. I ordered some different colored brown/tan glass beads
for something else entirely, and an idea was born. Labradorite and
amethyst are two of my favorite stones to work with--it's a rare
treat to get to use both at the same time.
Third is an old favorite, reborn. I fell in love with petrified wood
beads when I first began making jewelry, and sadly my supplier has
stopped supplying. That doesn't mean I can keep these forever
though! This necklace and earring set is made from my dwindling
stash of 8mm petrified wood beads and richly colored little garnets.
Last, but not least, is my first foray into really working with gold.
I created the chain entirely by hand, and it shows off the rich and
creamy African Opal to its absolute best! It comes with matching
earrings. Yes, I can make it in silver or copper if you'd rather.
In other news, I'm planning on having a real live pre-Mother's Day
jewelry show and party in my home on April 13. It's "open house"
style, and I'll serve light refreshments and have all of my creations
on display for in-person browsing, purchasing, and special ordering.
That's a Sunday, and I'm thinking 4-7pm. Don't worry about an RSVP
at this point, I'll send out the official invites in March.
Blessings,
Jenny

First of all, Happy Birthday, honey! It's my husband Don's
birthday today.
Secondly, THERE ARE ONLY 9 shopping days left until Christmas!
Aren't you glad it's almost over? :) I'm still furiously crafting.
It's art therapy! That means there's a constant stream of new stuff
available for you too browse through.
The newest thing are gorgeous polymer clay beads I ordered from
another crafter. They look very much like lampwork glass and have a
nice shiny finish, but they're much less expensive and lighter-weight
than lampwork. One pair is available in copper, and one in gold.
In fact, the copper pair is available with the Simple Swirl
Earrings on ebay right now for super cheap, as are the "Dryad Tear"
baubles with earrings.
http://tinyurl.com/2brcoy
Or, as always, just search seller "hecatestore" in the advanced
search function to see if I have any current listings.
And actually, I've started a second ETSY shop for the more unusual
and Pagan/Wiccan/metaphysical/etc themed pieces. Not much is
available there yet, but I have a couple of fun and interesting
pieces up. I think that if I can procure any more of Molly's
fantastic lampwork moon & tree beads the pieces will go there. It's
called "Be Witchy," and you can find the url from the Hecate's front
page, search for user id "bewitchy" on the esty.com page, or go here:

Hi All,
I hope your holiday season is going well! We're actually better
prepared around here than I would have thought and we're looking
forward to going home to Indiana after Christmas.
At the store, the big sale is still on. Some of the older stock is
now reduced from 30% to 50%, so good deals abound! There are also
currently 3 eBay auctions, and three WOW opportunities to get great
jewelry for cheap. I'd rather see some of it go to my loyal
customers!
Here's the tiny url version:
http://tinyurl.com/3ykdhv
Or you can go to eBay and do an advanced search for seller
"hecatestore" and find me that way.
Up for auction are a pair of Simple Swirl Heavy Weight Earrings with
nifty little sterling baubles, a random assortment of 5 pairs of
earrings (my choice) starting at only $5, and the "Holly Berry"
baubles with ear wires starting at only $.01!! Somebody *has* to bid
on one-cent earrings...that's an $18 retail value at my prices,
probably double that at someone else's.
As always, there's new stuff at the store. One example of a tie
chain is up in the "For Men" section. Guys, it's beautiful even if I
do say so myself. They're available in copper, sterling, and 14k
gold fill, and with or without stone embellishments. Email me if
you'd like to see more options before they're available.
Baubles abound in my new-found gems: lemon citrine (think translucent
lemon drop candies that shimmer), mahogany obsidian, and wood jasper.
The wood jasper looks like oak, but it's a rock. It's the darndest
thing!
If you need a hostess gift or a final touch for your holiday table
take a look at the copper napkin rings. They're available in
natural, green, navy, and black. I'll also make them in sterling,
and they're even available in 14k gold-filled if you'd like to pay
for them first. I just had a lady buy a set of copper ones plus an
extra for a "12 Days of Christmas" theme. For special orders I can
get appropriate wire in nearly any color, and there's still time for
special orders! If you want to match your china just find a picture
online and email me. Napkin rings are $4.99 for a set of 4.
Happy shopping, and email me if you need help with anything.

Happy December!
My holiday season is in full-swing and I kind of fell like I'm
finally settling into a groove of my own. The Simple Swirl Earring
line has been a big success, and the interchangeable baubles are just
getting better and better! On Friday my newest bead stash came in,
and I really picked some doozies this time. There's gorgeous, rich,
mahogany obsidian, luscious lemon citrine, warm and unique wood
jasper, and a bunch of others! I've been playing with them all day
with great results, and I don't want to sleep, I want to keep
playing! GO see what I've turned out so far, if it's still there
when you check your email:
http://hecates.etsy.com
For the gentlemen I have something new: tie chains. No one else
seems to be selling them, and this is a very chic accessory for any
guy who wears a tie. The advantage of a chain over a tie tack is
that the chain doesn't punch a hole in your silk tie or your good
shirt. It hangs on your shirt button and you stick the tie through.
Right now there's only one on display but more will be coming soon.
The one I made is copper that's been oxidized for a beautiful antique
effect. They'll be available in copper, sterling, and 14k
gold-filled, and with or without stones. And trust me, gemstones can
be beautiful AND masculine. Even Don, my not-into-jewelry husband
was really impressed with what I acquired for these! Pictures will
be available soon, but the list included square cut wood jasper,
tiger's eye, blue tiger's eye, faceted square black onyx, hexagonal
red tiger's eye, and small round tiger iron.
LOTS of the older stock is still available at deep discounts.
There are currently 2 eBay auctions, one for Simple Swirl (Heavy)
Silver earrings with modern baubles and one for a 5 earring pair grab
bag, starting at $5!

Wow Everyone, Christmas, Yule, and Hannukah are right around the
corner--especially Hannukah which seems to fall early this year.
We've actually already started shopping. Have you?
I have been on a creating frenzy, so be sure to check out the shop!
Things are going up on ETSY first because they're selling there, so
be sure to check that out as your first stop for new items. Usually
stuff doesn't go up on eCrater for a few days, but it does go up.
For all of you who have handed out a business card or shared my link,
thank you thank you THANK YOU!
http://hecates.etsy.com
In the last week I spent way more money on new metal and stones
than I really want to tell my husband, so please, if you need jewelry
for gifts NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY! My latest thing are the Simple
Swirl earrings. They come in two different gauges and three
different sizes in copper and silver and soon to be gold-filled.
Prices range from $1.99 for small copper earrings to $16.99 for the
largest gold-filled. The really cool thing is that all the dangles
are sold separately. Each one fits all the wires and all of the
wires can be worn alone, so even if you buy one set of earrings and
one set of "baubles" you have two different looks already! Almost
all of the charms can be made in any metal except for those awesome
rose caps. We can probably come up with something similar though...
The gold-filled wire is slated to arrive on Thursday, so those
wires aren't even made yet. Pre-order and be the first to get them!
Just send me an email to make arrangements.
For those of you unfamiliar with the technical jewelry-speak, there
are several kinds of gold finish you can get. The most expensive is
solid gold--the wire/metal is all gold throughout. It's also very
soft. Gold plating refers to a microscopic layer of gold
more-or-less painted onto a base metal, and this is the super cheap
stuff that probably has turned your skin green as the gold wore off
the second time you wore it. Gold vermeil is a step up. The layer
of gold is very thin but it's electroplated onto sterling silver
(usually) so it holds better and you're getting a better base
material. Gold FILLED is actual karat gold bonded onto a base metal
in a relatively thick layer that lasts through many years of wear.
The gold filled wire I'm getting is 14k yellow gold over brass.
Gold-filled offers me the chance to keep yellow gold in stock and you
the chance to purchase a high quality gold product without breaking
the bank. There's a little Wikipedia blurb on it here for more info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_filled_jewelry
Speaking of metal, if anyone is ever interested I can get an array
of metal wire to work with including niobium, solid rose gold, white
gold, and yellow gold (yellow up to 22k), and platinum. Prices for
gold are expensive and platinum is just silly, so all of those orders
have to be prepaid and are non-refundable. Right now platinum runs
100x the cost of silver. A pair of the Simple Swirl Earwires in
platinum would run you between $150 and $200 depending on which ones
you wanted, but I can certainly do it for you. Can't wait to get all
those orders for platinum! ;)
So go check out the new stock!

Hi Everyone!
Lately I've been adding new items to the new website at Etsy.com
first, so if you're ever keen to see if you can catch something
before everyone else you'll want to go there instead of the ecrater
site.
http://Hecates.etsy.com
This week I've added several new items, from simple wire earrings to
heavy copper dangles and a couple of pendants. All of the copper
inspiration comes of gorgeous natural copper wire that I'm
"reclaiming." It's all recycled ground wire from wiring stuff we
have leftover from, well, stuff! For all I know some of it might be
antique or verging on it. Regardless, it's fun to work with and it
looks spectacular.
Never fear, eventually I'll have it all up over on eCrater too, but
Etsy is a really cool place to browse. It's a site for all things
hand made, and it's a great place to go for gifts of all kinds that
you CANNOT find at the mall.
Happy shopping!
And keep in mind, it's never to early to shop for the winter holiday
of your choice ;)
Blessings,
Jenny

Hi Everyone!
Our show at the Frolic was fun, but I sure wish we'd sold more stuff.
Next year I'm sure the attendance will improve significantly, and
we'll be back for another round! We did get to meet and hang with
some terrific people that we hope to see again next year.
I've added two new items to the store--finally. I have a few others
cooking that will hopefully be finished soon.
These aren't exactly pieces of artistry, but they're certainly
beautiful. Both are bracelets, I've called them "Universal Rainbow"
and "Dark Aura," and if you get "The Pyramid Collection" magazine
you're sure to recognize my inspiration.
Frankly, I'm not all that big on Swarovski, but these really caught
my eye--and so did the price! TPC wants $80 and $50, respectively,
and their shipping is stupid expensive. All together you'd pay about
$92 for the rainbow bracelet from them. You can get one made by me
with a one-of-a-kind clasp for $53.50. My price on the other with
shipping is $33.50 instead of $60.
Coordinating earrings are on the way for both pieces.
If you like the jewelry you see in Pyramid please send me an email
inquiring what I can do for you before you buy. In addition to being
able to produce the pieces myself I have an established connection
with one of their main wholesalers and I can get you many of their
manufactured sterling pieces much less expensively--think 1/2 to 2/3
at most.

Hi Everyone!
It's been MONTHS, I realize. Thanks for hanging in there! While I do
have a few new pieces I'm leaving for a show tonight at the Fall
Frolic sponsored by the NEPA Fellowship up at camp Netimus in the
Poconos. *Hopefully* I'll sell a bunch of stuff, but if the new
pieces are still around when we get home I'll post them online for
everyone to see.
Wish me luck!

Hi Everyone!
It's been a fairly productive week again here at Hecate's. Last week
when I caved and threw up another couple of eBay auctions I had a
little bit of success, so I did it again this week. There are two
new, very simple pairs of earrings in shades of browns, and a really
gorgeous necklace and earring set made with white and brown lampwork
glass beads and loads of petrified wood and sterling silver. This
particular set will retail at the store for $50, but the starting bid
is only $15.99 with a "Buy it now" of $24.99.
For the eBay auctions please go to http://ebay.com and use the
"Advanced Search" for seller hecatestore.
Altogether I've added 12 new pairs of earrings, a necklace, and a
pendant to the website since the last newsletter. Please go take a
look! It's never to early to start shopping for all of our
gift-giving holidays in December, and back-to-school is almost here.
Speaking of which, I'm going back to school full time in August and
that means I need $$. If you are willing and able to host/ess a
party for me *please* consider arranging this with me in the next
couple of weeks. I can make myself available almost any evening,
anytime. The only dates I have blocked off are Saturday 7/28 and
Saturdays 8/4 & 8/18. Don't forget the great host/ess incentives!
For more information please contact me directly or see the website:

For the convenience of your guests I am fully capable of accepting
Visa, MC, & Discover at your party as long as I have access to a
phone jack.

Wow! So it's been a few weeks...
We went on vacation to see some family in the Midwest, and the week
prior to that I was in a creating frenzy for the party my Mom held
for me while we were there. This was jewelry party #1, and for only
7 people being in attendance, 3 of which were immediate family, I was
REALLY pleased with the results! I'll be spending the next couple of
weeks replenishing my stock.
I believe I can manage a party once every 3-4 weeks, so if you'd like
to book one please give me as much advance notice as possible. It
also take me a solid 1.5 hours to set everything up before hand. One
of the women in attendance said that at a recent party she went to
everything was just kind of laying out on the table...just so you
know, I do *not* do that.
At any rate, I was so excited about what I brought in I went and
spent a bunch of it, and once I start it's hard to stop. So...once
again I have turned to eBay. There are currently 5 items for sale on
eBay at a FRACTION of the retail cost. Amazingly, two pairs of
earrings already have bids. Please go to http://www.ebay.com and
click the little "advanced search" link. Simply enter hecatestore in
the "From Seller" section to bring up all of my listings. (result url
is http://tinyurl.com/yw4ye6 but if I add anything to it I don't know
if that will still work).
Item numbers are
130133233775
130133238364
130133241932
130133245697
130133690532
On a lark, I'm also offering dream interpretation services. If I
know you already and that's something you're interested please
*don't* purchase on eBay, I offer that to people I know completely
for free.
Not a whole lot new at the store this week. Most of the new stuff I
made sold at the party, which is why I didn't put it up in the first
place. There will be several new pairs of earrings available
shortly, and I've been experimenting with artisan lampwork beads
with gorgeous results, if I do say so myself :)

Hi Everyone!
Gavin was still staying at home almost all week form his surgery, and
I must admit I'm exhausted! He went back to "school" on Friday
though, and it gave me a chance to finish up a couple of things. The
new additions are a little light this week, but no less beautiful!
In Sets:
"Executive Grey" necklace, earrings, and bracelet in Silver Leaf
Jasper, freshwater pearls, and sterling.
"Soft Rock" petite necklace, earrings, and bracelet in Silver Leaf
Jasper and sterling
"Fiesta" necklace (and hand-crafted pendant), earrings, and ankle
bracelet. Gotta see this one!! "Fire cracker" colored freshwater
pearls, garnets, and sterling. Everyone will notice this jewelry.
"Deco Decorum" flapper retro, coulda been my great-grandma's. Onyx,
rainbow obsidian, and fw pearls. The pendant is actually a stone I
bought for myself from the science store when it was going out of
business at the mall at least ten years ago, and I've never found
anything to do with it--before now.
Earrings:
"Sleeping Beauty" in rainbow obsidian and fw pearls.
Did I mention "Sibilance" last week? If not--stabilized turquise
(you want your turquoise to be stabilized) and sterling silver. Very
different, very cool.
Those lampwork beads I was so wild about? Well, I got them. We
won't be reselling them, we'll be wearing them ourselves :) But I'll
post pictures of the finished jewelry anyway, once it's complete.
That way, should you also fall madly in love with them I can try to
find and make you something similar. After all, I now have two
strands of "coin" pearls I was going to use on this pendant my
husband is now keeping!
Thanks everyone, and have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Jenny

Hi Everyone!
For now, I think I'm done with eBay auctions. A few people are
looking, but no one is buying, and it literally doesn't pay to keep
listing while going in the whole every time.
This week was mostly spent caring for the little dude, but as of
today (Thursday) he's starting to perk up. A promise of taking him
to see Shrek tomorrow is helping with that a bit! However, I still
managed to complete a few pieces.
New this week are:
Malachite Madness--a freeform sterling wrap of some of my fabulous
malachite stock. The centerpiece is a 10x14mm cabochon.
Future Past earrings--a slightly forward look at the awesome 80's.
Burning Embers--a regal pendant and earrings set with fiery
Pietersite and tiny bronze freshwater pearls.
Modern Ancient Coins--a similar set completer with round Bronzite
coins-shaped beads and cream freshwater pearls.
Midnight Sun earrings--more Bronzite, this time suspended alone on a
Bali-style pin and wrapped in 925 SS. Very cool. Actually not even
up on the site yet, but will be shortly, like by tonight.
The other thing I have for you is the pendant I just created. Part
of an effort to fill a commission piece, the patron didn't care for
it's larger size and more elaborate design than the model. *I* think
it's amazing, but I can't keep everything I make! Pictures are
attached. If you like it and you want it, please email me at Jenny
(AT) hhearth (dot) net. Price is $10, including shipping. This is
18 guage, 925 Sterling Silver on a hand-wrapped bale that has an
inside height of about 7.5mm, so it's plenty large for a cord or
chain pretty much of your choice. In the pictures it's just hanging
from a piece of scrap wire that isn't included. If you have to have
it and you *need* a torque/chain of some kind let me know and I'll
see what I can do. I could actually make a simple, finished "torque"
in black or dark brown copper for $2 more, or $5 if you want it in
matching sterling.
At any rate, many, many more wonderful stones are on their way to my
door as I type, and I'm looking forward to finding out what they want
to be. Happy shopping!!
Blessings,
Jenny

Oddly, this didn't go through when I sent it the first time, but the
other one did! Go figure...
Anyway, there's an addition to the below. It's the "One of a Kind
Hecate's Copper Wire Sculpture Pendant Made by a Real Wiccan
Priestess (TM)!!" Available at eBay with a starting bid of only
$.01. Yes! For just a penny (plus shipping and handling) you can
own a BEAUTIFUL piece of original artwork, sure to bring good luck,
good looks, and TRUE LOVE!!
Seriously, if you buy THAT, I have this bridge for sale...lol
In all actuality, there is a pretty cool little copper wire pendant
that you really can get for starting at just a cent. It's recycled
copper wire that I can't send to the recycling center because some of
it is "permanently colored" and one type is "tinned," which means
it's silver colored all the way through. It isn't, therefore, "pure"
enough. Go check it out!
http://tinyurl.com/387huy
So, start actual newsletter:
This has been a pretty productive week for me!
My wonderful husband has completed the installation of out credit
card box, so we're now fully able to accept MC, Visa, and Discover
for purchases not made at the store. Book your party now!
New in jewelry are:
Victorian Amber Necklace & Earring Set
Black Beauty Earrings
Champagne Reception Earrings
Oddity Earrings
Purple Flurp Earrings
Sleepless Nights Pendant and Earring Set
Heartwood Necklace and Earring Set
Mauvelous! Necklace and Earring Set
Spring Green Necklace and Earring Set
Jasper Journey Earrings
In the works are a big, beefy, moss agate necklace, a commissioned
pendant, and separately commissioned earrings. I've attached a
picture of the pendant in demo form. Currently it's twisted in 18
gage tinned copper wire, but will be sterling when I make the "real"
one. Hanging from it is a 3.25 carat deep red madagascar ruby
wrapped in brown copper. Yes, it's real, and the color is fantastic,
but it isn't the clarity from something you'd expect to see in a
ring, so I got a really, really good deal on it. The price of the
pendant is $30. Sorry folks, there was only one stone and it's
spoken for...though I'll certainly let you know if the patron
ultimately decides he doesn't want it. If you're wondering, this is
what came of a request from a Pagan man for some combination of wolf,
bear, dragon, boar, and tiger, to honor his, his children's, and his
recently deceased brothers Chinese zodiac signs. This was my first
thought for a design, and amazingly it only took about an hour to get
it from paper and into wire--and my patron approved.
There are currently FOUR eBay auctions. Jasper Journey, Heartwood,
Mauvelous!, and Sleepless Nights are all available for a steal.
See item numbers 130117022708, 130117026887, 130117739742, and

Hi All, sorry to "bug" you twice in one day, but this is a special
request from *me*. I am DYING to work with some of these fantastic
lampwork beads that are all the rage right now. If you have any
desire to own one of these creations, PLEASE buy your favorite beads
and send them to me so I can make them into jewelry. At this stage
of the business I simply can't afford to have something that costly
lying around in the hopes that someone will buy it before I become
too attached to sell it.
You best luck is to go to eBay and select Jewelry & Watches> Loose
Beads> Lampwork, Crystal & Glass. If you find something you like and
want to know what I'd do with it please email me a link and I'll let
you know, and even quote you a price. I'll even pay to ship it back
if you mail your bead(s) to me once it(they) arrive(s).
I am currently bidding on these:

coin-shaped freshwater pearls...Maybe with lapis and peridot beads,
or something shimmery and glass...

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for joining the Hecate's mailing list! The last week
or so has been pretty productive, and there are several newer pieces
listed at the store, including "Ethereal Beauty" earrings and
necklace, "Artsy-Fartsy" earrings, "Bohemian Rhapsody" earrings (I
LOVE these!!), and services like Gift Certificates and Gift Wrapping.
Currently I'm working on napkin rings and book marks, pictures to
come soon. The first napkin rings are twisted copper wire that has a
lovely dark brownish antique-looking coating. A set of four runs
about $7.00--go find that kind of pricing at Pier 1! The next set
will be silver-toned and black copper wire. The awesome thing about
this material is that it's durable, relatively light-weight, very
reasonably priced, and it comes in an array of color choices. If you
have a china pattern you want matched just let me know the pattern
name and maker and I'll customize your choice of style in
coordinating colors for no extra charge.
Next I'll be venturing into wine charms...
The current steals are the eBay auctions, two of which end tomorrow
Monday May 27. The "Lime Freeze" set and "Tangerine Dreams" earrings
are up at DEEP discounts. These are both constructed from designer
glass beads and 925 sterling silver. The earring and pendant set is
offered for a first bid of $3.99, and the earrings for an amazing
$1.99!

If you would like to see more pictures of either item please feel
free to email me off list. Don't reply here or you'll be
unsubscribed...
The "Artsy-Fartsy" Chandelier earrings are also being offered at eBay
for a starting bid of only $4.99--truly affordable luxury! These are
hand-crafted from glass beads, genuine garnet, hematite, and 925
sterling beads, hanging from earwires and chandelier dangles I
created myself. You won't see these on another pair of ears:
