On 1/16/07, the US Supreme Court denied certiori for Cooper v IBM. This was the final appeal, so distribution of the base Cooper settlement of $320 million has begun. FAQ about Cooper v IBM: www.allianceibm.org/pensionlawsuitfaq.htm

On 08/03/06, Congress passed the Pension Protection Bill which legalized Cash Balance and PCF pensions.

Topics: IBM employee issues, retirement issues, accounting practices, shareholder issues, health care and medical coverage, layoff policies, legislative actions relating to IBM and/or retirement, and other topics related to IBM pension issues including Cash Balance Plans, PEP, and PCF.

It sounds like you are covered by the old PCF (prior plan) for your original period of employment and the Cash Balance plan for the second period. You should
