We are changing to Atlastfullfillment in Denver. They have a good
interface and better rate and storage fees than Ifullfill. They have a

Hi, I am in the same boat
as you. I spoke with DART and they were sort of nebulous about the
rate after 90 days. I just rather know what I'm getting into. My
second choice after iFulfill during my initial research with
eFulfillmentService. Their web interface is not as nice, but I
rather have a service be stable and in business than have a fancy infrastructure that disappears. Anyway, I chose them because they seem
to specialize in smaller businesses like us. The rates are
better.
The only reason I did not pick them was that they did
not offer USPS First Class w/ DC. Now they do, so I am more than
happy to work with them.
As employee number 2 of iFulfill.com and Lead developer, I am
available to provide developemnt assistance to merchants and
fulfillment companies.
I have been with Paul and iFulfill.com from the beginning. Together,
we laid out the foundation of the infrastructure and have been
building upon it up until a few days ago.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Dear iFulfill refugees-
Can anyone recomend a fulfillment house for
me? My site does only about 30-40 orders per month and half of those
orders are shipped overseas via UPS & USPS. I made a quick decision to
go with DART on monday but am now worried that I am too small for them.
Thanks,

Hi,
After a very hurried search for a suitable replacement fulfillment
company I decided to go with Fulex.com. Carmen Mirabella is the person
in charge I spoke with. I sent an email to Paul to release my stock to
them. Hopefully Paul will confirm by tomorrow a.m. My impression from
speaking with Mr. Mirabella was positive, in case anyone else still
looking for a replacement. Anyone else going with Fulex.
Hi All,
The Fulfillment House, located in New Jersey, would like to offer all
former customers of iFulfill an opportunity to transfer their material

Webgistix was also on our shortlist. They seem to be similar to
ifulfill but with a higher level of service. If we had more SKU's, I
think we would have went with them -- they're worth a look, especially
if you're considering DART.
I am sorry for all those that have been inconvenienced by the

I am writing to tell all those that are looking for a new

Hi all. As an independent sales rep for iFulfill, I have worked with Lori,
Keith, and others on this list in the past few months. For the last couple
of days now, I've been helping folks transition to eFulfillment Services.
I'm happy to report that they are getting ready to accept XML order input.
They had been testing it via clients who use Yahoo Stores before all of this
craziness -- and are now working to integrate with UltraCart and other XML
file transfers in the same way that iFulfill did.
In fact, I know that 2 of iFulfill's top XML programmers are already talking
with EFS about helping them speed up the implementation. If you need more
info on any of this, please feel free to contact me.

Also, I didn't mention it, but we are definitely going to push Ironlinx to go XML. We were testing our XML feeds Monday morning when we received the email!
They're quite advanced, and I believe XML would suit them fine.
Go to: http://www.ironlinx.com/
And have a look around. It is worth giving them a call to discuss.
Note the special link on their homepage for former iFulfill merchants.
I'm your new neighbor at Ironlinx. I'll definitely have to order a bottle or two of garlic head in solidarity (but I don't expect any reciprocation on our wine geek products!)
We've run some very sucessful affiliate promotions through the wine-lovers-page.com, which is the largest independent wine site in the world. They also have a wine advisor food letter. When I can personally attest to how great your sauce is, I can pass on the word to Robin Garr if you're interested.
Subject: [ifulfillmerchants] Also going to IronLinx
Just thought I'd chime in here. I'm also moving with IronLinx, for me it is a good fit. I'm very small and only stock 2 pallets of one item presently. They're owned by a large, successful operation (which should help overcome and capitalization problems) and are expanding their distribution/fulfillment services by utilizing existing infrastructure capacity.
As of noon Eastern time today, Scott said he thought he had room for about two more pallets on their truck. They plan to arrive tomorrow morning in Maumee and he and his team will load as quickly as possible.
I realize this is not a solution for many others, so good luck to all, and have a safe landing. Perhaps we could keep this group alive in the future to share fulfillment successes or (yikes) horror stories...

The iFulfill debacle has made me want to get my merchandise stored a
little closer to home (California...).
Has anyone heard of a West Coast fulfillment company participating in
an iFulfill pick-up program?
Anyone going with/have experience with/spoken with DART?
They look like a very solid company, and I think I might go with them
if my other plan doesn't work out.
We're all in a bind here, I guess. We have to act fast, but the last
thing anyone wants to do is go to another company that just 'appears'
to be stable.

I just heard back from John Lindberg at EFS. Here are instructions to give Paul,
once he has your inventory ready:
--------------------------------------------
HI Lori,
That is great news....I have asked Yellow Freight to place a series of 28
foot trailers at iFulfill and as each one is filled, to bring it to us.
Cost per trailer for each trip is only $700, so the cost per client pallet
should work out to be quite affordable. I will advise the details as soon
as known. For now, please tell Paul that EFS is sending a series of
trailers and to have Yellow keep replacing these until all the EFS client
merchandise is shipped. Please ask him to double stack pallets whenever he
can.
Many thanks,
John

Subject: I got a call from Paul Perdue: Please Respond
Hi John. I checked my voicemail, and I got a call from Paul Perdue!
He said he has 6 pallets for me to get picked up (I thought I should only
have 3 pallets, and it will probably be a lot more expensive to ship 6
pallets, but I guess I shouldn't argue.) He said I should call him and email
him, with the trucking company I am using, and then he will call the local
dispatch of the trucking company to arrange to get out my shipment.
I was really hoping to get my products shipped with the other merchants
going to your company, so we can all save on the shipping costs. Can we make
this happen?
Perhaps you can give me the names of these other merchants, and I can call
and email Paul with this information?
How does it work with the trucking company? You said I should contact
myyellow.com? Any idea how I can find out the cost? Would it cost a lot less
if we combine forces with the other merchants? Do I/we arrange everything
with the trucking company before I call Paul?
Please get back to me as soon as you can. I want to make this work. I'd like
to get back to Paul as soon as possible--I'm sure it will take a while for
him to get my message.
I'm not at home now, but I am checking messages:
732-937-5978.
I've tried calling you several times, but of course your line is busy,
dealing with all this craziness!
Thanks very much for your help!

We decided against Dart since they're very big and we're afraid of
being lost in the shuffle -- 10,000 ft of conveyor belts vs. the 100
to 500 orders we have per month.
We've decided to go with Ironlinx -- here is my posting from the
ifulfill blog:
We've made our choice to replace ifulfill after our hurried research
and phone calls: Ironlinx http://www.ironlinx.com based outside of
Philadelphia. The other company we almost went with is
http://www.efulfillmentservice.com/ which also looks very good. The
deciding factor is that Ironlinx is a 2 hr drive from our office and
is sending a truck up to Ohio to get our stuff.
One important factor for anyone to consider is that you can't just
call Yellow, Fedex, UPS etc to pick up your stuff. Someone has to
physically pick your items off the shelves at ifulfill's warehouse.
Ifulfull doesn't have people to do this and the delivery and freight
companies won't do this.
Another important factor is time -- I suggest anyone who has
merchandise at ifulfill to get it out as soon as possible. The
situation is not predicable. The warehouse could be padlocked because
of bankruptcy proceedings, etc.
If you can't get to Ohio to get your stuff out, you should find
someone to do so quickly. You can call Scott Danby of Ironlinx at 610
636 7512 (cell) or 610 444 2406 ext. 106. He's taking a truck up
tonight (Wednesday, 7/27)
You can also contact me at my email address steve@... if
you want to discuss why we're going with them. BTW, we have between
100 and 500 orders per month volume.
I'll report back on how our mission goes here and at the blog I set up
in case this one goes down at http://ifulfill.blogspot.com/
I just checked my voicemail, and I got a call from Paul Perdue!
He said he has 6 pallets for me to get picked up (I thought I should only have 3
pallets, and it will be a lot more expensive to ship 6 pallets, but I guess I
shouldn't argue.)
I was hoping to get together with the other merchants going to the same
fulfillment house (Efulfillment Service), so we could share on the shipping, but
I don't know if this is going to happen. Any suggestions?
It sounds like Paul is busy trying to get people's product ready.
Regards,
-Lori-

We've been talking to Dart in Naperville Illinois. Apparently the
owner has contacted Paul and is arranging trucks to pick up former
IFulfill merchant inventory once they are ready. They will split
the cost of the truck (around $800) among the merchants so the cost
of transporting will not be that much. Dart will honor iFulfill
prices for 2-3 months after which they will reassess.
The question is when will our inventory be ready for pick up? Has
anyone heard any news?

I thought it would be useful to get together as many former Ifulfill merchants
as possible to share our ideas on what to do next.
I have been talking with Efulfillment Service in Michigan
(efulfillmentservice.com), and they seem pretty reasonable. They actually have a
section on their info page relating to Ifulfill merchants.
It sounds like there may be groups of people going to different fulfillment
houses. The person I spoke to at efulfillment service said that they would have
to put a limit on how many new merchants they could accept at one time. That
would be great if somehow we could get together the groups of people going to
different fulfillment houses, and get all the products shipped together to save
on shipping.
Please pass the word on about this group to any other Ifulfill merchants that
you know about. There are currently only a few people who have joined this
group. I'm hoping that the word will spread, so we can all help each other out.

Thanks for the invitation to the group.
I've been wondering how I'm going to get to Maumee from Montana in
order to transact any movement of my product. This may help.
I'm talking to fulfillment houses in the Cleveland area (USBrands.com),
Cincinnati (FilTek) and Grand Rapids, MI (Progressive Distribution). I
have not talked to the gentleman at DART yet, but thanks to Debra
Crandall for the info - I plan to follow up on it.
If we were to all end up at the same new fulfillment company, we might
be able to save a bundle on the trucking. I assume that is one of the
reasons you started this group (which is an excellent idea, I might
add).
In my case, I really like what USBrands had to say, and their pricing
is comparable to iFulfill. Also, their proximity to Maumee (lower
shipping cost) and to the East Coast population centers makes them
attractive.
Progressive is a large outfit, and again quite close to Maumee and in
the same UPS zone as Maumee. I'm having trouble getting through to
their Business Development person; the message she left me is that she
is dealing with a lot of former iFulfill merchants just now. If that's
true, we might again do well to join that group.
Rob Frankel on the West Coast used iFulfill and was one of two referals
supplied to me when I was deciding. Perhaps the author of this group
could send him and invitation.
