Paul, don't know if this will help or if this is what you're looking for, but
check out www.railfonts.com. They have two "Illinois Central" fonts for sale.
Apparently the website creator and others try to copy the original fonts used on
many different railroads, but there's no reference as to what the name of the
original font/typeface used by the railroad was.
