"No bird soars too high, if he soars with his own wings."
-W. Blake
It is written by W. Whitman in Democratic Vistas that even in the
seemingly dispirited nature of things and differences within the
populous, shall a common and confident, voice be heard. It is in such
a landscape that you'll find that much enamored idea called
democracy. Some call it a vision of greatness. What is greatness?...
One may mention democracy without capitalism but it is difficult to
mention the worth of capitalism without credit or a worthy footnote
to democracy. For it's the creation and/or the enactment of laws that
enables its' growth and defines basic freedoms to pursue dreams and
ideas with that familiar entrepreneural spirit, and set forth, to
assert the primary function of capitalism, the efficient and
unhindered movement of goods and services. The invention of laws/
property ownership, investment capital, communication and last but
not least transportation <the 4 moorings of democracy> has procured
that element of efficiency known as productivity in addition to
production and employment.
Is this Ameritocracy at risk? Is the vitality of the truest form of
democracy and vision of liberty forged in the great ideas of the
Athenians and the Greeks in jeopardy? Gen. Eisenhower once said, "...
we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence,
whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The
potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will
persist."

"None escape. None escape. None shall escape." Island of Dr. Moreau
<script>
What would happen if you woke up one day to find that what you've
taken for granted, that gave you that ease of mobility, which has
defined our society and other great societies of this world today is
taken away from you. Transportation. Think for a moment if you woke
up to the idea that governments mandate to its' populous that all
means of fossil fueled based transportation shall be nationalized
going forward. If you haven't gotten around to the answer of what it
may mean to you and the world as we know it, the implications of such
an decision is nothing short of draconian. It would forever change
the world as we know it. Your reason for existence shall be brought
to question.
What was Eisenhower really warning us about? Capitalism needs to grow
and the military through the ability of power projection especially
superpowers has facilitated that fact. Unfortunately, it is a self-
fulfilling cycle that lack of a better, more politically correct word
this addiction to oil. The largest consumer of domestic oil isn't
you ... it is the military.
The leader of the free world currently imports more than half of its'
oil for use. By 2025 that will be 2/3rds. Dr. Michio Kaku stated we
would have to find a Saudi Arabia every 10 years to sustain our
insatiability and need for oil. "It ain't gonna happen; It just ain't
gonna happen." He's right. But he left out one important footnote...
The Crucible Event of our civilization is, that moment of reckoning
whose probability has just rocketed up to the realm of true
possibility, is when the world loses the oil supplies that it
already has. Governments aren't in the business of telling you the
truth in this matter. Chaos would reign supreme, free markets would
cease to exit, world peace would be an oxy moron relegated to a
footnote. If you think you're envious about what Mr. and Mrs. Jones
have today, it will be much worse, to think what you'd do to his
energy<fuel>. The act of nationalizing transportation is something
governments of today has misdirected the populous from thinking. Yes,
misdirection. That one art any great nation or greatness has to
contemplate and do. The world of today is not prepared for such an
event. For the sake of every citizen of this known world i do
sincerely hope this will not be a fact. They say, politicians and
world leaders are better left to governing countries and
entertainers and their industries are better left to telling great
tales that never come true...
May all your endeavors lead you to prosperity and well-being.
