"Death comes to all, but great achievements build a monument which shall endure until the sun grows cold."
R. Emerson
Andrei Lugovoy was right when he said the Cold War couldn't have come back as it had never really ended. Not the end of a war, but just a race that's gotten a little warmer.
Thermonuclear. Energy's Holy Grail of the 21st Century. A new race inspired; that greatness(if achieved), inspiration from the sun.
The end of the world as we know it may come when the sun stops shining as they say. And it too could be characterized by the end of oil(other side of Hubbard's Peak/Hubbert Peak Theory), the race to the bottom of the barrel. Ralph was much too early to know who
Rutherford was and far ahead of his time when it came to great achievements, like a victory over the Cold War. But he knew just like anyone and everyone else the warm powers of the sun, including the Russians today.

We could very well be witnessing the precursor to a new race, of an old, "cold" race once the Russians decides to take the initiative alone much further(military)... of what started
out to be a multilateral effort.
