Vol. 1, no. 10 The Third Baron... The Mavin Primer   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #72 of 846 |
It has become a restrospect of accomplishments in my life, milestones
and a little of what the French call 'Le Bel Age' looking back since
i took the helm at MGA(Mavin Global Assets) and onto a slightly
different course and a new niche... one where my key clients were not
only personalities of business and finance or heads of states of non-
monarchical principalities (not forgetting diplomats and
politicians)... but one of nobility and royalty(i.e. the monarchies
of the world). They've found that the merging of core competence
derived since i was a younger sleuth days with the world of finance
to be indispensable in their service of managing their personal
assets to solving matters of crime, misconduct, misdeeds and
misdemeanors against their assets(of tangible and intangibles
catagories including priceless heirlooms), lives and their
sovereignty. Most monarchies serve a symbolic role. However
exceptions do occur; it usually is in the interests of the
executive branches of monarchical nations that the power mandated by
the monarchs are in concurrence with those who run the government.
Any discourse or misalignments of mandates could lead to power
struggles and instabilities within the nation in question and could
lead to undesirable consequences and action...

Interestingly enough through the course of my work, that i find the
teachings of the third Baron (von Leibniz) to ring true, that in all
that's good,... there's evil a dichotomous relation that necessitates
itself inorder for us to savor more and strive for the good that's in
our lives... Although most if not all of my clients may come from a
heritage of privilege and wealth, they are still remain human by
nature just like any of us with vulnerabilites.

In addition, I've come to realize vis-a-vie my experiences that
filling in your father's shoes isn't as easy as it's thought out to
be. A very well connected and well-respected former statesman and
senator and a very successful business personality, my father was an
exemplar to high society's social circles and especially in his
speciality, the field of capital finance. But using my skills under
his tutelage, i managed to use his strengths of widely connected
network of people and added to the portfolio of clientele to whom i
serve...

On my current occupation, it's far more progressive compared the
world's current repertoire of field occupations and speciality, nor
does it lack the intrigue and the challenges compared to my modest
beginnings running Mavin Investigations, as a junior detective. No
doubt, the cases and mysteries that i've encountered then and now
would certainly fuel the imagination and aspirations of readers young
and old.

As they say imagination is your creation... In closing i've always
wondered if the heavens and subsequently life and society had to some
degree borne certain ascribable attributes by virtue of a name alone?
Wealth, and heritage to royal lineage and a family name? Guaranteed
success from or associative with a certain descent? (I might note
that such ascribed virtues may have absolved me from certain
liabilities, unknowingly; under any other circumstances the outcome
would have been very much different).

I know Alice always loves a challenging question and she always comes
back with an invaluable answer... that no matter how fortunate you
may become, it's always about the people.

... and as always may all your endeavors be a prosperous one.

P. Mavin

PS. Stay tuned for the 'arms' perspective of pegging to the dollar!
