Ghaziabad, Oct 11: The Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express was delayed by over
two hours at Ghaziabad railway station after the train hit a motorcycle near
Kotgaon railway crossing here.
A motorcycle-borne man, who was crossing the railway tracks when the train was
approaching, had to leave his vehicle which was hit by the train, railway
officials said.
Due to the collision the engine developed a technical fault. On reaching
Ghaziabad, the train was stopped for about two-and-a-half hours till the engine
was repaired, they said.
The train which was scheduled to depart from Ghaziabad at 7.30 pm left at around
10 pm.
A case of negligence has been registered against the motorcycle-owner by railway
police.
