PROJECTS
• Analysis of air flow around buildings using commercial CFD
software, Fluent
Modeled an approaching wind of varying speed with the boundary layer
and a generic square building with and without a parapet. Determine
size and strength of resulting vortex at the leading rooftop edge of
the building and compare to results given in the ASHRAE fundamentals
handbook. Determined variations in predictions due to turbulence
model, variations in wind speed, and approaching wind assumptions.
Used Gambit, Fluent 6.1 and Minitab
• Analysis of stress/strain in structural components and beams
This project involved building geometry, applying loads & boundary
conditions and solving in ANSYS environment. Analyzed cantilever
beams for deflection and symmetric components for plane stress and
plane strain. Used Hyper Mesh to mesh the geometry
• Design and analysis of screw jack
AutoCAD was used to develop the geometry and AutoLISP was used to
programmatically setup loads and boundary conditions in AutoCAD.
Screw jack is mainly used to lift Automobiles in case of repair.
• Web based course
A web-based course was developed using Macromedia, Dreamweaver MX &
Java Script.
This was a basic mathematics course which would give a basic
knowledge of all fields in mathematics. Mainly this course is useful
for anybody who has web access and can be taken/referred at any time
of the day.
• Client/Server application testing using Quick Test Pro
Involved in manual and automated test procedures during testing the
application, Also Involved in developing test cases using Test
Director. All test cases were written based on business
requirements, Use Cases and screen shots. Back end testing was done
to verify and validate data.
