Master's Program in European Studies
Location: Tbilisi
The Institute for European Studies (IES) at Tbilisi State
University, funded by EU project "Establishment of a Center for
European Studies", is announcing recruitment of students for new
2009-2010 academic year for English-speaking Master's in European
Studies Program (MAES).
According to new National Examinations Center regulations, the
applicants can apply to the Master's program only after successfully
passing at least minimum level of General Master's Exam or "სსგ".
The Institute for European Studies will require prospective students to
have:
** Undergraduate (Bachelor or equivalent) degree from a related field
** At least intermediate B2, level of English
** General knowledge of the European Union - Interest in EU Issues.
Applications should be addressed to TSU. The applicants must submit the
following documents: Application Form (available on TSU official
website together with the sample material for the written exam in
specialty: www.tsu.ge (then click on the link "სამაგისტრო პროგრამები"
and then click on the link "ევროპული კვლევების ინსტიტუტი"), copy of BA
Diploma and Diploma Attachment (დიპლომის დანართი), Motivation Letter,
copy of ID or passport.
Tentative date for submitting the applications (after qualifying for
eligibility based on the results of General Master's Exam or "სსგ"
conducted by National Examinations Center) is September 21, 2009.
Enrolment procedure is divided into three steps:
** Written examination in English language
** Written examination in specialty
** Interview with Admissions Jury.
Admissions exams will be held in September 2009. Information about
exact dates of exams will be additionally announced in August-September
2009.
