The postal inspectors are useless. I saw someone stealing mail from
multiple mailboxes (which had been happening for weeks). I filed a report
with the postal inspectors, as I had an excellent description of the lady
(well, perhaps a woman but not a lady) and her car. Later, her picture
turned up in the newspaper (along with a description of the same car) as she
had been arrested for robbing multiple banks. So I called the Postal
Inspector's Office back and found my case had been filed away and never
assigned to anyone.
So this time, I gave the postal inspector the name of the person who had
stolen all the mail and the bank robbery connection. They said they would
call me back if they decided to re-open the case.
They never called back.
Jim
