It looks pretty good. I noticed in the chapter on Lean Thinking
it warns the reader not to confuse anything that uses a Japanese term to
be part of the Lean Think & tools. IN particular it seems to say that
the stuff on Queuing theory and bacthes is all well and good, but isnt
specifically part of Lean as put forth by TPS (he does acknowledge that
the Poppendieck's explicitly call out queuing theory in their work)
Larman then goes on to explicitly discuss KanBan Sw-Dev as proposed by
David et.al. and how it is really not an example of "Lean" and doesnt
optimize things the way that "Lean" would (or perhaps I am
misunderstanding and misstating?)
I'm wondering if anyone else here has had a chance to read that section
of the book (its only been on the shelves for a week) and whether or not
they wanted to comment/explain on this section of it.
