RE: [kanbandev] Kanban Coaching Workshop

David:
Do you have dates set for the October one? I’m thinking about doing a couple of free one-day events while I am out there and wouldn’t want to conflict.

Subject: [kanbandev] Kanban Coaching Workshop

I'm thinking of running 2 Kanban coaching workshops. I'd like to run the first one in Port Angeles, WA near my home on the week of Aug 31st - right between the Agile 2009 and Labor Day. The second event will be in London in October.

The workshop will be 3 days because there is a lot of material to cover in-depth. This is one day longer than my Kanban class. I'll run the events if I get 5 people paying to attend. And I'll probably limit each event to 8 people. I'd rather run more workshops than overload them. Email me if interested. dja@...

The pre-reqs for this are that (a) you've been doing Kanban and have some experience, or (b) are an experienced Agile coach with track record and knowledge of Kanban (c) you've taken my Kanban class in the past. Participants will not be "certified" but will receive my personal recommendation as knowledgeable coaches who understand Kanban. You can use this in branding and marketing and I will write you a LinkedIn recommendation.

The workshop will be a mix of lecture and open discussion and possibly some simulation or role playing. It will be very interactive and I expect everyone attending to contribute and for everyone including me to learn something from the others. We'll discuss real examples and case studies and options and approaches.

For those interested in the US event, Port Angeles is a 2-2.5 hour drive from Seattle's SEATAC airport or a short flight on Kenmore Air from Seattle's Boeing Field Airport to Port Angeles. Port Angeles is a main port on the Straits of San Juan de Fuca with ferries to senic Victoria, BC. It is also a short drive to the spectacular and largely unspoiled Olympic Mountains and National Park.

Regards,
David
