Happy July!
Here in Mississippi, we've been working hard preparing for the upcoming SERID conference that's to be held this September 27 - October 1 in Biloxi, Mississippi. One of the activities has been around gathering interested folks in committing to be Support Service Providers for the participants who are deafblind. I am asking for your help by placing the attached invitation and registration in strategic locations or in interested persons hands so that we may achieve a great team of people to provide this valuable service. As a part of their gift of time and skill, they will be provided training, entrance into the conference as well as a place to rest their weary heads at night. We're also working hard to get all their meals covered and hopefully some travel dollars. If someone can only volunteer for a short amount of time, that's truly acceptable. Volunteers do not all have to be skilled in sign language as we can match communcation skills of a participant to the volunteer's skills. Please help by sharing this invitation to anyone you know who might be interested. The volunteers will have an experience of a lifetime by making such an incredible committment.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me on my cell: 228-249-9668.
Together we can make this conference an outstanding experience for everyone!
