Loc 65 018 is de komende tijd in Duitsland actief. Om 15.57 uur wordt de loc in Emmerich door een dieselloc opgepikt en naar Essen gereden. Loc 65 018 met begeleidingswagen zal op eigen kracht van Rotterdam naar Emmerich rijden. Tijden in Nederland niet bekend.

De jaarcijfers 2007

In de april uitgave van de nieuwsbrief van DB Schenker is er onder meer aandacht voor de presentatie van de jaarcijfers 2007 van Deutsche Bahn AG, het concern waartoe Railion Nederland N.V. behoort. DB boekte voor het derde opéénvolgende jaar een stijging van de omzet, winst en vervoersprestatie.

Ook is er in deze uitgave aandacht voor de goedkeuring van de Europese mededingingsautoriteiten voor het verwerven van een meerderheidsaandeel van DB in het Spaanse Transfesa. Daarnaast is bekend geworden dat Railion Scandinavia, de nieuwe joint venture van het Zweedse Green Cargo en DB sinds kort beschikt over alle noodzakelijke papieren om railtransportdiensten tussen Zweden en Duitsland te starten. DB Schenker verwierf tenslotte een opdracht om 60.000 buizen bedoeld voor de bouw van de Oostzee gaspijpleiding te vervoeren.

Ook in de nieuwsbrief aandacht voor een aangepaste dienstregeling in de periode rondom Hemelvaart en Pinksteren 2008.

Omzet, winst en vervoersprestatie zijn voor het derde opeenvolgende jaar gestegen. Topman Mehdorn zei bij de jaarcijfers 2007: 'om de succesvolle weg voort te zetten, hebben wij in de komende weken een positief besluit nodig over de deel-privatisering'.

Omdat er in de periode rondom Hemelvaart en Pinksteren minder vraag naar railtransport is, zal DB Schenker in de dagen rond Hemelvaartsdag (1 mei 2008) en Pinksteren (11 en 12 mei) haar dienstregeling aanpassen.

Subject: Weekend 5 en 6 april 2008: kleine treinen in het Spoorwegmuseum

Tijdens het Modelbouwweekend zijn alle bijzondere modelspoorbanen van Nederland verzameld in het museum te Utrecht. Ook laat het museum dit weekend een recente schenking zien. Deze bestaat uit een dertigtal modeltreinen van merken als M�rklin en Bing uit de 19e eeuw. Dit is uitzonderlijk, aangezien er uit deze tijd slechts enkelen bewaard zijn gebleven. Kinderen kunnen hun rangeerdiploma halen en aan de slag gaan met het versieren van modelhuisjes.

Op de modelspoorbeurs kan de verzamelaar of liefhebber terecht voor het assortiment van firma�s als Roco en Fleischmann. Van landschappen tot treinen en onderdelen, alles is hier te verkrijgen. Oud materieel wordt tot leven gewekt in de Heimwee express. De Blokkendoostrein uit 1927 vertrekt vanaf het museum voor een rit van 50 minuten door regio Utrecht. Op het buitenterrein van het museum is De Arend te bewonderen. De eerste locomotief uit 1839 wordt tijdens Modelbouwweekend onder stoom gebracht op het enige stukje breedspoor van Nederland.

Er is ook een boekenbeurs in de bibliotheek van het museum, maar de meeste interessante stukken zijn al verkocht op 29 en 30 maart. De voorraad zal worden aangevuld, voornamelijk met modelbouwboeken.

Vooruitlopend op de verschijning van de april-editie van HOV-Railnieuws
later deze maand is een herdruk van Railnieuws van april 1988 (als extra
editie) geplaatst. Het betreft een scan van de oude gedrukte versie. In het
menu onder "oude uitgaven" zijn thans alle edities van HOV-RAILNIEUWS vanaf
1 januari 2000 terug te vinden. Ook deze oudere uitgaven betreffen scans,
dus er bestaat geen onderscheid tussen 1 of 2-koloms versies.

that need sorting out.  So, in order to reduce that overhead, I've created a
Yahoo list for new external subscribers.  It is not a discussion list - only
I can post to it, and it then simply distributes RAILDATE to whoever is a
member.

So - if you know anyone who would appreciate seeing RAILDATE every week,

they can sign up for themselves.  (I'm not proposing to move the existing

The very last steam issue of "Locomotives Illustrated" has just been
published (No 170 An LNER Miscellany) - the end of an era surely.  This
magazine has built up to an amazing reference library on UK steam, but
from issue 171 it will become "Modern Locomotives Illustrated" and will
be edited by Colin Marsden.  No 171 will be the class 37s, due out on
23rd May 2008, and will include colour & B&W pictures,drawings, livery
details, fleet lists etc.

Vrijdag wordt het stel gesmeerd en worden er wat laatste dingen gedaan
(zoals staat van het stel registreren) boven een put bij de werkplaats
in Eindhoven.

Treinnummer is wel bekend, namelijk 46020...

Inmiddels staan er ook details over de (verwachte?) samenstellingen,
o.a. een 1312 en een 1202 zullen de trein trekken (op donderdag en

Mat 36 staat en blijft tot vrijdag-avond in Blerick. Vanuit Amsterdam rijd een convooi met loks, rijtuigen en de koppelwagens via Rotterdam en Tilburg naar Blerick. Dan pas (!!!) 252 in voegen, rijden naar Eindhoven en aldaar controle ed. Dan op Zaterdag-ochtend vertrek naar Duitsland via Deventer en Bad Bentheim.

Met loc 01 1075 van Rotterdam via Utrecht en Arnhem naar Bochum-Dahlhausen. Tussen Emmerich en Bochum wordt de trein getrokken door dieselloc 212 007, omdat de stoomloc niet beschikt over PZB 90 (Indusi); sinds 1 april 2008 is dat verplicht, ook voor museummaterieel.

Dienstregeling: Rotterdam 08:38 (spoor 15), Utrecht 9:41, Bochum ca. 12:30-17:00, Utrecht 21:30, Rotterdam 22:30. Zie ook www.stoomstichting.nl.

Tim Oliver, Trustee of the Euston Arch Trust writes:

The Euston Arch Trust is looking for somebody with solid experience in
creating computer generated images of buildings to help us with our
campaign (www.eustonarch.org) to rebuild the legendary Euston Arch of
Euston Station.  The Euston Arch Trust was established in 1995 following
Dan Cruickshank's success in tracking down the remains of the arch for the
BBC TV series "One Foot in the Past".  In 2007 Network Rail announced that
it was to redevelop Euston Station sometime around 2012 in a �1 billion
scheme.  The Euston Arch Trust was restarted to campaign for the
redevelopment to include the return of the arch.  Our patron is Michael
Palin.

In the mid 1990s the trust drew up plans to rebuild the arch between the
two remaining lodges that stand in Euston Square, the only parts of the
original station to survive. Drawings and costs were prepared.  You can

India - Bangladesh:
The passenger train service between Calcutta in India and Dhaka, capital
of Bangladesh, has resumed after more than 40 years.  The service was
suspended in 1965 following that year's war between India and Parkistan of

De drie Class 58-locs van ACTS gaan dit jaar uit dienst. Ze zullen terugkeren naar EWS in Engeland, waar ze waarschijnlijk worden geparkeerd bij hun wegroestende soortgenoten. In het weekend van 21 en 22 juni worden twee afscheidsritten vanuit Rotterdam georganiseerd door Mercia Charters Limited. Zie www.merciacharters.co.uk.

Wat een terleurstelling voor de SSN & deelnemers!

In hun flyer staat dat er doorgereden zou worden met hun eigen 01 1075 naar Bochum ???

Met loc 01 1075 van Rotterdam via Utrecht en Arnhem naar Bochum-Dahlhausen. Tussen Emmerich en Bochum wordt de trein getrokken door dieselloc 212 007, omdat de stoomloc niet beschikt over PZB 90 (Indusi); sinds 1 april 2008 is dat verplicht, ook voor museummaterieel.

Dienstregeling: Rotterdam 08:38 (spoor 15), Utrecht 9:41, Bochum ca. 12:30-17:00, Utrecht 21:30, Rotterdam 22:30. Zie ook www.stoomstichting.nl.

Tevens gelegenheid tot meedingen naar de Spot the Webmaster Award.

Ook loc 65 018 is op 19 april te zien in Bochum-Dahlhausen. Deze loc zal op 1 mei een aantal ritten rijden tussen M�nster en Coesfeld en tussen Billerbeck en Havixbeck.
