just for comparison x3 column actual size 5.1/2 wide x 4.1/4 and weighs around 50 to 60 pounds and the actual load baring way into the dovetail...

the x3 is barely lrge enough for what i work on the x2 isnt a very good machine the 7x12 minilathe that its based on is a better lathe...

Personally my concern is with the Y-axis base ways. They look so thin. Just to think about over tightening the gib screws and crack there goes the way....
