Hi Barby,
You need to send out a formal invite to all
the HNM’s in M/S, Pediatrics, Women’s Health and Psych. and M/S
administration asking them to
identify their minority nurses and to have them RSVP for the dinner. Please emphasize
that minority does not just mean the African American Culture, but all other
cultures and the male nurses. You need to make your e-mail address easier to
respond to.

Subject: [MNF] Dinner conference
Hello everyone,
We are having a dinner conference on August 27, 2008 in the Bolwell
Conference Room from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. It is being sponsored by Cathy
Koppleman.
Our speakers are Dr. Ed Jackson and Cathy Koppleman.
I will give the opening remarks.
PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH YOUR RSVP'S AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN GET A
HEAD COUNT ON WHO IS COMMING.
You can call 216-283-2515 and leave a message if I am not in.
I will also try to get Dr. May Wykle the dean of FPB to attend and
perhaps bring us up to date on what is offered at the school to help
with attaining further education for those who want to receive there
degrees in nursing and other areas.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us. Please!!! let's take
advantage of it. We can use this as a kick of point for our
reorganization.
I will be meeting with the Nursing Coordinating Council on the eight
of the month. We are requesting to become part of the council with
voting rights. As I stated before Cathy Koppleman is backing us in
this effort and so is Dr. Jackson.
I will send you out a copy of the new charter that the forum worked
on.
Read it and be ready to discuss it at the next meeting.
DON'T FORGET RSVP TO ATTEND. AND INFORM ALL MINORITY NURSES THAT YOU
KNOW TO GIVE THEM AN
ORGANIZATION. THIS IS FOR ALL MINORITY NURSES AT UHCMC AND ITS
AFFILIATES.
