Green Drinks International is now active in about 600 cities around the world and growing all the time.

And we're happenin' in Nanaimo! We've had many exciting meetings since our start in Feb.'07 and I'm pumped about our future!

'Green Drinks Nanaimo' is a self-organizing, non-partisan lively mixture of interesting folks who gather with a very loose agenda and no formality other than mutual respect and common courtesy.

Simply, it's a chance to meet regularly to informally chat, debate, socialize and connect with others passionate about our environment and sustainability.

For those seeing this notice for the first time, consider yourself invited!

There is no cost other than for the food and drink you personally order.

Why come? For fun, contacts, drinks, snacks, info, gossip, inspiration, business and pleasure.

Over time our format has evolved to where we now normally have a 'discussion leader' make a short (or longer?) presentation on an environmentally related topic to inform us, engage us and to help start discussion. If you have a particular expertise or interest that you'd be willing to 'lead,' don't be shy! Offer your talents and passion!

Venue: "The Vault" coffee house - in the heart of downtown Nanaimo, at the 'Five Corners' intersection of Wallace Street, Albert Street and Victoria Crescent.

Date: 4th Wednesday of each month

Time: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

NEXT MEETING: DECEMBER 16, 2009 - This meeting is a week earlier than normal, because we thought the usual date would be too close to Christmas.
