NE Oregon Rideshare: Linking drivers and riders to promote more efficient use of fuel.

Going my way? Or maybe I'm going yours. Let's post our rides offered and wanted and maybe we will all save some $$, use less fuel and make a new friend or two. Whether it's a daily commute from Cove, a shopping trip to the Tri-Cities or a drive to Portland chances are that someone else is going too. Why not double up?

Here's how it works:

Become a member of NE Oregon Rideshare by clicking the 'Join This Group' button at the upper right hand corner of this page. You will be prompted to sign in to your existing Yahoo! account or to create a new one. It's completely free.

Once you are a member, bookmark this page so you can return to it. Offer or request a ride by clicking on the "Post" link at the left to compose your message.

In the SUBJECT LINE please use 'Ride Offered' or 'Ride Wanted' plus the destination so folks can determine quickly whether or not they are interested in opening the email.

Describe your trip in the body of the message. Please include your name and information such as travel dates and whether or not riders will be splitting gas costs.

Hit send. Your message will go out to all members.
