James Hoggan & Associates is one of Vancouver’s leading public relations firms specializing in issues management, media relations, environmental communications, crisis communications and investor communications. Our clients include A&W Food Services of Canada Ltd, Century 21 Real Estate Canada Ltd., Electronic Arts, Capers Community Markets and Canadian Pacific Railway.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a minimum of five years’ experience in communications or public relations, with a preference for candidates with at least two years in an agency environment. In addition to a public relations or communications degree, diploma, or equivalent certificate, the successful candidate will possess:

•Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to write communications plans, news releases, and strategic recommendations

•Strong media relations skills, including developing and managing successful national and local media relations programs

•Extensive experience in project planning and management, budget development and oversight, and client service

•A passion for best practices-based communications and helping our clients do well by doing good
