Here are the responses to the following request from Ryan Turnbull of Toronto:

"I am working with a community group that is developing a social enterprise for
setting up and tending community orchards in urban settings. Does anyone know
of other social enterprises that provide services focused on orchard planting
and fruit tree education and training. We would like to connect with other
groups doing similar work. Does anyone know of any groups we could learn from?"

(1) From Katie Tuten

Megan Larmer and Dave Snyder are both involved with the Logan Square orchard
project (in Chicago):

(2) From Martin Meteyard (from the UK)

Have a look at Scottish Orchards http://bit.ly/ygxnX6

- John Hancox is a mine of useful information.

(3) From Margaret Williams

Earthworks Boston http://bit.ly/yqGdSn and the Boston Tree Party
http://bit.ly/xDbAC1 have tried to give it a go. It is not a viable business
model if you want to generate a surplus.
