Perhaps your information is more up to date than mine. It has been some years
since I enquired. However there was once info on the Frateschi site about the
scale of some of their models. My memory states that the models made for the US
domestic market were HO scale but the models made for their Brazilian domestic
metre gauge market ( and useful as repaints for NZ and SAR)were to 1:80 scale
which is not HO. Such a combination is not entirely new as some continental
manufacturers used such a combination to try to enter the British market and
some Japanese manufacturers used similar to supply their domestic 3foot6 market.
The combination being known in Japan as HOj.
