Con Ed Solutions is what my household ended up going with, after much
dithering; we figure the price is a further incentive to keep our
energy usage low. I tend to view offset programs as ways to put a price
on soothing a guilty conscience. That's a very personal decision, of
course, but I prefer to not need offsetting in the first place, and to
be part of demonstrating that there is a call for green energy from
home users.

There are people who would perhaps call me a dilettante, because it
looks as though I'm having too much fun. I have never been convinced
there's anything inherently wrong in having fun.
