Description

Orgdyne is an international, culturally diverse forum that is dedicated to the research, exploration, and understanding of group and organizational dynamics, as supported by systems psychodynamic thinking. The exploration of organizational processes will be accomplished by scholarly texts and papers on one hand and the critical evaluation and feedback by group members on the other. By undertaking this type of nontraditional exploration, Orgdyne will develop creative methods of assessing, diagnosing, analyzing, and intervening in organizational settings. It is this collaborative sharing of intellectual content, actual experiences, and personal insights that is the impetus for Orgdyne's future growth.

Mission and Objectives:
The mission of the Orgdyne group is to promote a deeper understanding of organizational dynamics. The focus is on the study of group and organizational processes from a systems psychodynamic standpoint, though we will not subscribe to any one school of thought. The overriding objective will be to promote organizational effectiveness by creating an awareness for how groups and organizations think and operate at the irrational and unconscious levels. Our discussion will typically include, but is not limited to the following:

-Covert and irrational processes in the workplace
-Group dynamics
-Narcissistic leadership
-Power play in the undercover organization
-Psychosis, neuroses, and toxicity in the workplace
-The interplay of emotions, power, and feelings
-Organizational unconscious and identity
-Psychodynamics of team building etc

Orgdyne Norms and Values:
Members commit to the Three R's: Respect for self, respect for others, and responsibility for their actions.
