An Orientation to Orientation
=============================
Your moderators welcome you to the "Orientation" Community. This message is
sent to new members. And, because this is a very low volume mailing list, we
will also be send it out as a monthly reminder that the group is still here for
your use / reference.
The group was started in 1999 for sharing and collaboration on the subject of
new employee orientation. Over the past few years, our community has grown
to over 260 members -- members from all parts of the world, North America,
Australia, UK, Europe, India!
Membership to the group is closely controlled, and messages are "moderated" to
prevent the intrusion of spam and sales pitching. Discussion comes and goes
in the community as people need to seek ideas, or to seek input on their
ideas. And, always remember, we have zero tolerance for spam! One strike and
you're out!
If you joined because you have a zillion questions on the subject of
orientation, we would STRONGLY encourage you to browse through the archives
(
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/orientation/ ) before you begin posting your
questions. Your question may have already been discussed in the past.
And, familiarize yourself with the other content available from the Yahoo!
Group website. Take your time and check out the "links" area -
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/orientation/links and the files area -

date/anniversary which would be of interest to the group.
As you browse through the archives, you will notice that many of the members
have introduced themselves and the orientation programs of their particular
organizations. Why not introduce yourself? Let us know a little about you
and your interests in this subject. After all, this is a community of kindred
spirits! If you'd like to ask the moderators a question before you post
something, just send an email to:

Once again, a warm WELCOME! We look forward to chatting with you and getting
to know you!
