Happy Father's Day, my loyal Readers!
Many of you wrote about the last Issue delivery. I apologize.
It happened for the first time in over 6 years that so many of
you didn't receive the Issue.
I'm now facing a problem which I firmly believed would never have
to: a new hosting company. I've been with Readyhosting for more
than 6 years and it always was the best comany around. However,
since the new owners gained it, all the services became a real
crap. I lost my mail three times, all my stats history is gone
and so on, their servers are so overloaded that the mail server
hardly moves at all, stats is dead for several days. I hardly ever
complain but this is to warn you if you consider moving your site
here. These people behave as if they provide free hosting, even
companies providing free hosting render better services.
So, I decided moving to a new company and solve the problem asap.

Three Reasons Why More Website Content Increases Traffic

People typically visit the Internet in search of information.
They are looking for content that is relevant to their purpose.
They typically are not looking for marketing ploys. There are a
number of ways to increase this content, including having a
search engine optimization company provide you with keyword
rich articles, but there are three major reasons why more
website content increases your website traffic.
The first reason more website content increases traffic is that
content articles tend to be focused on a topic. This focus will
then lead to the repeated use of a keyword or phrase. That
repeated use leads to higher search engine rankings. Search
engine rankings are the way returns come back to an internet
user through a search engine. If someone searches for the term
"dogs" they will come back with thousands of pages of results.
The order those results are displayed on the screen depends on
a number of factors including how frequently the term is
mentioned on the site and where it is mentioned on the site.
Research shows that people tend only to click on the first ten
results a search engine offers them. Increasing your website
content will help you become one of those first ten websites.
This means more people than you ever thought possible will be
clicking on your site in no time simply based on your website
ranking. Not only will you be closer to the top of the search
engine with more content, you may also be indexed by more
search engines. This could mean something like ninety percent
of all internet users seeing your website in any one given
internet session.
The second reason more website content increases traffic is a
bit more complicated. If you have strong, well written content
on your site, you increase your credibility with customers.
Suddenly you are no longer a company selling homemade dog food;
you are somebody who can offer knowledgeable advice about
anything a responsible dog owner needs to know including house
training, leash laws, and sleeping problems. This increase in
credibility not only makes people believe what you have posted
to your site, it also makes them want to stay at your site to
read the rest of your content articles. The more content
articles you have at your site, the longer they will stay.
Keeping them there as long as possible is the key to selling
your product to them. You have a much longer time frame in
which to pitch your product and close the sale.
Not only will they stay at your site longer with more content,
but this also means they may come back to your site the next
time they log onto their machine. For example, if you are
selling refilled printer ink cartridges, but you have content
on your site related to all things printers, you have a good
chance that someone might stay to look at a few of the
articles. However, the next time they need digital photo
printing tips, chances are good that they will remember what
great content you offered them during their last internet
session, and they will return directly to your site just to
read more of your content. This means you have their complete,
undivided attention for an even longer period of time.
Moreover, if they are returning to your site on some sort of
regular basis, chances are good that they will recommend the
site to other users like friends and relatives which will mean
even more traffic for your site.
The final way more website content increases your web traffic
is that it increases the likelihood that advertisers and
reciprocal link exchangers will be attracted to your site.
Reciprocal links are exchanged by websites that have similar
interests. The more relevant topics you are able to list, the
more chances you have of someone with similar interests
attempting to link to your site. This could greatly increase
your website traffic because not only will people be able to
find your site through search engines, they may also be able to
find your site through other sites. Further, though, advertisers
are looking for sites that encourage customers they want to do
business with. More keywords will mean more customers for you
which can mean more advertisers for you which can mean more
profits and visibility for you.
No matter which reason you choose, more content will increase
your website traffic. That can only mean good things in store
for you and your website. You can have your content articles
written for you or write them yourself. Whichever way you go,
though, be sure they are well-written, as poorly written
articles will do nothing to increase your website traffic.

There Are Times When You Should Move On

Sometimes we have to be patient and sometimes we have to get
moving. Wisdom is in knowing when to stay and when to go. I know,
it's easier said than done, but we all know when we've exhausted
certain possibilities, and quite possibly ourselves, in the
course of finding out. Wouldn't it be great to know everything
first?
That could save a lot of time. One way is to train your brain to
do some assessing first. Do the `scenario' test: If I quit this
job, what will tomorrow bring? Maybe some adventures, but
without a paycheck. What if I stayed in this job? The same old
stuff, but with a paycheck. What if I thought about a new
career? A good plan, because you can stay in your job while
you're working towards finding something more challenging.
Sometimes that will even open up opportunities in your present
job. Do the brain work first by asking yourself a lot of
questions.
If, after trying to make your current situation better, it is an
obvious dead end, then it's a good time to move on. Maybe it's
just not a good fit. It's like a relationship: on paper all the
important things seem to add up, but the chemistry just isn't
there to make it work in reality. Jobs can be that way, too.
I've hired people with terrific credentials only to find that
they simply don't work out. You have to cut your losses quickly.
That's a good thing to learn if you want to be successful.
I talk a lot about momentum, and for a good reason. Business
requires a tempo, too. We all know when we're humming along and
everything seems to work versus when everything hits the fan and
it's just not working. The best thing to do is shut off the fan,
let the dust settle, and simply start over.
Not everything we do will be successful. The so-called Midas
touch is definitely so-called and not usually good for longevity.
When we hear of extremely successful people, it's usually safe
to assume they've encountered some obstacles or had difficulties
along the way. There's a lot of trial and error before something
is effortless or polished. Michelangelo said something I can
relate to, "If people only knew how hard I work to gain my
mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all." The problem is,
we usually only see the end result and not the process.
There was a guy who was a very successful businessman, but his
first passion in life was the piano. He was very dedicated and
disciplined, and achieved a certain virtuosity, but he finally
realized he would never be one of the greats. In other words, he
knew he would never be a Horowitz or a Gould, and he had very
high standards for himself. So he quit the piano and applied
himself to business and he became enormously successful. He just
knew that he should move on, and he did. He remained a musician
in his private life and maintained a healthy balance for himself
with his interests. He said if he had remained a pianist, he
would have been frustrated and it would have warped his
sensibilities. He did a lot of thinking before he made his move,
but he knew it was the right decision.
It's not always easy to move on. You'll leave something behind,
but sometimes what's ahead will be better. I convinced a friend
of mine who was being devoured by Wall Street to go into
something he enjoyed doing, which at that time was golf. He made
the break with Wall Street, which initially wasn't that easy,
and he has been healthy and successful in the golf business ever
since. We've got to do things we're suited for and hopefully
that we enjoy. Success is a great feeling. Success should add to
your health, not detract from it.
I sometimes tell people they are not cut out to be entrepreneurs
because it's true. Some people are, some people aren't. It will
save you a lot of time and hardship if you can figure that out
first. As with anything, you have to see how you handle pressure
and the risk factor. It's similar to going through the set of
questions we had at the beginning of this article. Learn to
scrutinize yourself. It's very helpful to take courses like
these, to learn as much as you can in every situation, but still
try to find the time to learn to think for yourself. As
Confucius said, "Learning without thought is labor lost." Don't
let that happen to you. Learn, work, and think in equal
proportions and you'll be going in the right direction.

There are hundreds of theories on what makes the Internet tick.
How will one consumer find you on this big thing called the Web?
Any webmaster knows that it is the most important element to
finding and keeping traffic flowing to their website. Yet, it is
not always all that easy of a problem to solve. Let's face it,
there are hundreds of webmasters out there trying to do the same
thing that you are. So, you have competition beyond reason.
Although it is quite difficult for you to get your website
traffic up if you don't know how, if you do, then it's rather
simple. There are many benefits to you from simply writing and
submitting articles to article submission websites. This simple
process can generate a steady flow of traffic unlike any other.
It is quite amazing the results that you can get from this very
easy process. Here are some more details for you to consider
about article submission.
First, understand how it all works. You write an article,
presumably about your product, service or website. Normally, you
will want to insure that it is writing without the suggestion of,
Come here. I've got a great sale for you. This type of article
will most likely not be used or it will not even be allowed into
publishing. The article should be crafted surrounding whatever
is going to pull your customer in. The goal is to have them
click and locate you.
At the bottom of your article, you will use a resource box to
include your information. Who you are and what you can do for
the customer. You will also have the most powerful part of the
entire article there. That is of course your website link.
All of this is submitted to an article submission website which
will then publish it. Anyone who wants to can pick up your
article and place it onto their own website. When they do this,
they are required to use the entire article and the resource box
on their website. That means that now your website link is on
every website out there of every person that picks up your
article. This could literally be thousands and thousands of
websites.
So, now that you have your articles written and submitted, you
can count on receiving some traffic. The more well written the
article is, the more attractive it is for other webmasters, the
more it will be picked up and used. That means more and more
back links to your website. This is of course an excellent way
to insure traffic to your website.
When you take this to the next level, article submission really
can translate into a lot of traffic. For example, now that you
have written one well written article and got some action off of
it, you are ready to do this again and again. That's because you
can write any article and get the same results. So, now you
don't just have one article out there generating traffic for you,
but you have five, ten, or twenty doing the work for you.
Article submission websites are an excellent way for you to
generate traffic to your website. You probably will not find a
better location to find such a virtually free way of getting
your website out there. It really makes a lot of sense and it's
quite simple.

The Deadly Sins of Email Marketing

Have you noticed the size of your inbox lately? It's true; many
major marketers have gone big into email marketing. With the
enormous growth in the number of messages sent, it was
inevitable that plenty of unwelcome bad emails would be going
out at the same time as good and effective ones. Here is a list
of what NOT to do when using email marketing. This information
has been compiled from actual emailed promotions we have
received over the last few months.
- Don't send test messages to your entire email list
- Don't send MULTIPLE test messages to your entire list
- Don't send test messages with unprofessional text just in case
it IS to your entire list
- Don't send out giant untargeted "spam" mailings
- Don't send out HTML emailings with broken links
- Don't send out un-optimized rich media emailings with large
attachments that take a long time to download on a slow modem
connection
- Don't send out HTML mailings accidentally as TEXT
- Don't send mailings to people who have asked to be REMOVED
Violate one or more of these rules and your marketing can
instead become "anti-marketing", causing a negative brand image
and losing potential customers. Email is an incredibly effective
