Re: [patterson-plugins] ALERT: OSX Measure Numbers Crashes Finale

The OSX versions of my plugins are linked using the OSX native linking
format, called "Mach-O". The "for Fin04 under OS9" versions are linked
using the OS9 linking format called "CFM". However, CFM is also
supported under OSX and works with all OSX versions of Finale. Indeed,
until earlier this spring the OSX versions of my plugins were CFM-only,
which is why this problem has only surfaced now.

The days of CFM are numbered, because I don't believe MacIntel supports
CFM, except under Rosetta.

The problem is, for some reason Finale crashes for the Mach-O version of
the Set Font button but not for the CFM version. This appears to be a
problem in Finale, but I'm trying to get confirmation. If it is a
problem in Finale, the outlook for the Set Font button is not good
unless a fix is forthcoming from MakeMusic.

BTW: As of now, the CFM version is not "older" than the Mach-O version.
At my website, they have the same date and same version numbers.
