The PMI® Program Management Office Specific Interest Group (PMOSIG) is a Knowledge Based component of the Project Management Institute (PMI) with membership representing 61 countries, 199 chapters, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine postal codes, the top vertical markets, more than 1,675 leading companies and government entities around the world.

A dedicated team of professionals has worked diligently to develop the foundation for this international organization, supporting thousands of members and providing each member with the opportunity to make a contribution, develop subject matter expertise, mentor and be mentored, and apply the knowledge to the industries and businesses they support. We have taken the time necessary to define this knowledge-based component and encapsulate a specific body of knowledge. Our membership has grown from less than 200 in September of 2001 to over 2400 by June, 2003 - and is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.
