It was around the Mediterranean Sea that the ancient Egyptian Civilization had started and flourished.  

 

The Mediterranean Sea is surrounded by land on all sides except for the tiny Strait of Gibraltar that connects the sea with the Atlantic Ocean.  

 

Mediterranean Sea is one of the most happening places for trade, exchange of people, cultural exchange and wars.  

 

With the changing times, tourism around the Mediterranean region has also taken a prominent place.
