As announced earlier, Vice Chancellor of Anna University, Coimbatore has offered to start one year PG Diploma course on Public Relations and Corporate Communication at Coimbatore from June 07.   He has asked our group to suggest a curriculum of 8 papers for consideration.

Probably for the first time ever, a curriculum is prepared by the community through WIKI, involving masscom students,  past students, professionals in the industry, corpcom managers, media professionals, academicians, etc.  This is a collaborative process.  Wiki is a collaborative tool to facilitate the process.

This will be done in three stages
First stage -  Brain Storming
Second stage - Consolidation
Third stage - Refining  and handover the syllabus to the University

For many of us, including myself, Wiki is a new concept.  This exercise will also help us to learn  understand the power of Wiki.  I am also as excited as you are to know and learn the process.

Please go to the page and read the instructions.  I have also given a sample there.  You can click 'edit' against "Brain storming - Add your views" and start writing your views and suggestions.

Please do not throw away any views as 'irrelevant'.  Probably, that may be of great importance.

In the first stage, we will capture the views of all people, irrespective of their position, age.

IMPORTANT

Wiki is a great and open tool. Every one of us can edit the contents.  Since we are doing for the first time, please do not delete or edit  the views of others,.

When the final syllabus is made, we will include the name of all the contributors. (like open source software)
