In Mt Isa, at the Irish Club, one of the resturants is called Tramcars, and as
part of the furniture a tram is in the building. Not knowing much about rail
buses it is mainly a timber one with rounded ends and a drop centre. The
drivers area is closed off but looks like it is original inside. The interior
of the tram now has cafe seating with I presume the first class area is able to
be closed off via the interior door for a more private coffee. Being inside of
the building it will last for years. The story goes it was donated by Steve
Irwin from Australia Zoo.

What about the trams which were at the long gone Tram Stop theme park,
located beside the old Australia Zoo. I presume its is completely gone now.

Most of the drop centres were burnt at Milton although a number ended up
on a property at Yatala and several were used in the "Tramburger also at
Yatala. One drop centre is still operational at Christchurch NZ. Most of
the FMs were given away to various organisations and lists do exist.
Most rotted away and are now just history. There is still one in Perth
(not working) one in Bendigo (also not working) and at least one in
Sydney. There is a dreadnought in Wellington NZ which starred in the
recent remake of King Kong. It was painted up to look like a NY street
car. So we have a Brisbane tram in New Zealand starring in an American
film. Another dreadnought is operational in Sydney.
