Some sightings for Sunday, 29 January 2012:
Sign-on Toowoomba at 03:10, work 9D62 empty coal to Jondaryan, load, return 9863 coal through and down the range to Gatton, change with 9616 empty coal and return home to Toowoomba at 13:45.
Also of interest, there is currently a track closure daily from 07:00--17:00 for re-sleepering works on the Up Road between Yarongmulu--Gatton with Up trains requiring SW10 authorities for "wrong road" travel on the Down Road. A temporary dead-end siding (with portable points arrangement) has been constructed just east of Gatton (near the golf course) to house the required track machines, and to save them travelling to/from Helidon each day to stow clear of rail traffic.
