Today, QRNational ran the first non-passenger train on the Pinkenba Line in as many years. This particular service was a Grain Train (#6BT5/6758/6656) from Goondiwindi to the GrainCorp Siding at Pinkenba via Acacia Ridge and back to Toowoomba. The train unloaded in just three hours (well ahead of the scheduled eight) but was delayed at Signal DN18, just East of the old Eagle Farm Station) due to a track closure ahead. At about 14:15, the train handed back the section staff at Doomben and continued it's journey.
