A place for rail enthusiasts, professional railroaders and communications hobbyists to discuss all aspects of North American railroad radio communications past, present and future. This includes various commercial radio equipment used by railroads, use of scanners, amateur, FRS, GMRS, MURS, Nextel and GPS as a railfanning tool. Group members also discuss the proper installation of radios and related accesories such as coax, antennas and computer control interfaces and software. We also welcome rail radio frequency updates from your home town and communications related questions from members planning trips to new areas.
