Description
- Options have value.
- Options expire.
- Never commit early unless you know why.
A discussion group for discussing topics relates to Real Options. This includes, but is not limited to financial mathematics, sociology, cognitive behavior therapy, social dynamics, management, management styles, risk management, portfolio management, governance and general interest. Basically anything related to making decisions and/or commitments.
Chris Matts and Olav Maassen started working on this in 2006 and since than Real Options has gradually gained interest (pun intended). Another big promotor of Real Options is David Anderson who sees Real Options as the future of corporate governance.
New members might want to read up on the infoQ article on the connection between Agile and Real Options and Feature Injection article (available soon).
We want to maintain a very high signal to noise ratio on this list. So this means no announcements or commercial posting of any kind unless approved by the moderators. Posters of commercial content and advertising will be banned.
