FoodShare.us is the newest project of FreeSharing.org. The goal of FoodShare.us is to give folks a means of offering excess perishable or nonperishable food items that might otherwise go to waste.

The principle is very similar to FreeSharing and members can offer items such as excess items from government programs (infant formula, milk, etc), seeds, plants, fruit, nuts, before it rots on the tree, excess veggies from the garden,canned goods, hunting leftovers,frozen foods and so on.

BASIC RULES:
* All items must be "Free".

* No selling, no trading; only free offers.

* FOOD items only, including pet food. Edible plants and seeds welcome.

It works like the other free recycling groups just that this is for food.. you never know when you might have an extra what ever laying around going to waste especially when all those gardens start come in..
