This group is for discussion and news about San Diego Vintage Trolley, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and operation of historic streetcars in San Diego. The organization is directed by board members associated with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, funded by grants and donations, and restoration is performed primarily by authorized volunteers. SDVT currently has three 1946-vintage streetcars (ex-MUNI), and two 1948 streetcars (ex-SEPTA), and all are General Electrics made by the St. Louis car company, and all are presently undergoing restoration.
