Maharashtra VAT E filing Problem

Sir,

I have recently tried to E File the return through the new MS Excel utility 1.2.1 provided by the department.

If the return prepared and validated using MS Office 2007; a valid Rem.xls file is generated but while uploading the error message Please Upload Valid Excel sheet is displayed.

If the return is tried to be validated using MS Office XP, while validating the file error message "The file is not in recognizable Format" is generated. Can anybody tell me what to do to get the file uploaded.
