Welcome to Beauregard and Vernon LA

Sharing Is Giving is part of a growing number of locally and independently owned free community groups where members post items they no longer need, and want to give away or items they would like to receive for free.

The goal of Sharing Is Giving is to reduce landfill waste. To achieve this goal, we need to build a strong local community. A strong community develops when we are considerate of one another.

This list is for people in or around the Beauregard-Vernon Parish area and people on and around Ft Polk. When joining please let us know your General location. Upon membership approval, you will receive an email welcoming you to the group, and familiarizing you with our few basic rules. Please read over this email prior to posting. There is no petty bickering and no one will slam you if you make a mistake in your subject line as long as you are trying! We are unmoderated and you don't have to wait for your post to be approved. We will handle it if anyone misbehaves on a case by case basis.

Please use Wanted or ISO, Offer, offering or free, and Taken or PPU along with approximate location in your post to cut down confusion.

We are not here to make a buck, not even a penny.

We are here for our earth to still be beautiful for our children and their children and hopefully their children.
