A bad ordered shower may explain why the MR wasn't sold; but, they had 4 of the cars at one time and needed 2 for Washington-Atlanta. Were all 4 showers bad

OK, I'm having one of my phantom memories again, which is always dangerous. Was there a period when the shower was bad ordered so they didn't sell the MR?

The April 1965 Official Guide shows them as "2DR1MRBftLge", New York-Atlanta. The 12/1967 and 8/1968 timetables show them as "Buffet-Lounge Car",
