They both have their benefits. You should consider joining both and
designate one as your non-primary society. NYSSA has a staffed
organization and it has been around for a long time. NYSSA has a lot
of events and educational programs in NYC. SCFAS has over 500
professionals in the Stamford/Greenwich area and it may be worth it to
network with your peers in the area if you live or work here.
