Discussion of steel-related industries such as shipbuilding and fabrication is also welcome. Scale model dialogue is encouraged, as is that of the prototype relating to the hobbyist. Announcements of plant tours, open-houses, museums, historical archives, and new scale model products are also welcome.

Yes they do they crack alot some mills when dumping slag they use a crane with a ball to bang the thimble to get the slag out I remember hearing the bongs
I think they had the same drives. I have 3 units from the original release, 2 44Ts and 1 70T. I never took the shell off of the 70 but the 44s have one motor
