Another idea, redirecting people to the currently working feed source.

The rationale being sometime the feeds move from one URL to another.
Perhaps if Syndic8 did a URL redirector based on the Syndic8 feed
number?

It might make for any easy way for people to put a link on their
website that redirects to the actual feed. And it might make having
a Syndic8 feed number worthwhile.

The possiblity of redirecting folks on the event of a feed error is a
side benefit. Redirecting for any other purpose would seem like a
*really* bad idea (ie; marketing or advertisements). That is,
possibly redirecting to a generated feed that contains error
information? So their client would get a feed but it contained an
error message instead.

Just a thought.
