Hi Stephanie,
Good luck with the feed. Sometimes "upgrades" to software will break
the RSS (or Atom) feature, so that might be what happened in your
case. Or a server configuration may have changed, since the feed is
being sent as plain text instead of XML data.
The iPermitMail comment wasn't necessarily directed at you. That's
part of the problem -- there's no way to know what person(s) on the
list are currently using iPermitMail to solve *their* spam problem (by
hassling everyone else). When people sign up to a mailing list using
an address "protected" by iPermitMail, everybody else who sends a
message to the list -- just doing things normally -- will have to
"confirm" that their message is not spam. This might not seem to bad
for one or two people, but imagine if everyone did it, the amount of
basically-junk mail produced would be ridiculous. It's an impediment
to an email discussion list and personally I think it's obnoxious and
unnecessary. (I rarely "confirm" who I am to iPermitMail-hidden
addresses even for non-list email.) There are better ways of dealing
with spam than generating more junk mail! But enough of that rant for
today... ;-)
