Do I sound like I am over my head? I am. Thanks-jj

There are a few free desktop utility softwares available on the web.
They're few and far between (at least ones that work, user friendly,
and easy to learn from). One of my favorites is called "RSS Feed
Editor" by rss-info.com/en_rsseditor.html
Another, yet easy but requiring slightly more script input
is "ListGarden RSS Feed Generator Program" by
softwaregarden.com/products/listgarden/
Here's a page of links to serveral easy RSS utilities for Software,
RSS Validation Services, RSS Syntax Guides, and RSS
aggregation/syndication services:

There are tons of material on the web. Being new, don't spend a dime
purchasing anything, and just keep reading and studying what
popular/affective sites are doing to their RSS that makes them
popular. Keep in mind that RSS script is NOT mind boggling. It's
Really Simple. Just follow a few rules of its syntax.
When you visit Syndic8.com home page, scroll to the bottom of the
page and look for "5 most popular feeds (based on subscriptions)".
Study their source code and learn about all the elements. Speaking
of elements, here is a site that offers a really good basic layout:
www.dx21.com/SCRIPTING/HTML/rss2rfgd.asp which lists what elements
are required, and what are optional. I found this page by accident,
and bookmarked it for reference. It's been helpful to me.
Good luck.
