It's easier to find a local charity so the money stays in the
community and is easily recognized by your potential accounts. Here
are a few.

When you call one of the organizations below, ask for the Charity
Vending Coordinator or the person who works with vending machine
companies.

vending. Does anybody have experiences with it that they can share?

Thanks.

Do you mean like what I have seen at some airports
where there are a few masseuses and a few special
chairs where they can give you a short back massage
for a small fee? That is the only thing I know of.
What exactly was your plan? Is it the kind of chair
you see at Sharper Image that you sit in and turn on
the handheld remote and electrically massage yourself?
I have seen some of those at a local mall.

Hi Hansel .... wellll you might take a look at ebay ... there was a
chap who wanted to sell his chair system ebay # 330002021280 & then
7631844569 he started at #2,000 a chair dropped to $1,750.00 each
still a LONG way off the $500 - $600 they are worth used ... remember
it takes a hard row to place them where you can expect a half decent
return ... know of one set up at a 'hot springs' swimming pool ...
the candy machines make more money than the chairs ... and you can buy
a pile of vending machines for $1750.00 ... anyway just an idea ...

Hey everyone. I'm new here. Full-time I work for a newspaper here in
South Carolina and part time I do AmeriPlan. I'm curious about
VendPink though. Apparently the products themselves have been marketed
well on the west coast.

Whenever I've mentioned this product at a work-at-home forum I get
mostly chuckles and snickers. They vend tampons with humourous and
empowering messages on them. Their profit on these looks good. You buy
them in 300-count packs at 25 cents each and you get 50 cents profit
on them. When you buy a machine you get enough tampons to cover the
initial cost of the machine.

I think it sounds fabulous. I would like to do it, but realize that
just buying one machine will probably not be enough, so I'm trying to
find locals who would want to invest in this with me. Does this sound
profitable. I don't doubt that companies like shopping center see this
as an interesting concept (the corporation donates 20 per cent of the
sales you make for breast cancer research, but you keep all the
quarters). Plus the machine and the product are pink, trendy and feminine.

How should I go about getting started? I'm aware that it would be
better to find clients first before really getting into buying the
machines. (first "package" is 10 for $2990). It would require frequent
refilling if these do sell. The machines only hold 38 tampons at one
time.

CAREFUL is the word to use here.
The term "package" sounds like a biz op to me. I am into the candy
end of bulk vending and have found that E-Bay is my best friend. My
average cost is about 30% of new... A quick search shows several
from $10-$400 each, assorted brands &types, most were new. DO YOUR
HOMEWORK truck stops, clubs, allnight places near the highway etc
will be your best bet.
Just about anywhere a condom machine is found would probably work.
Again DO YOUR HOMEWORK and good luck!

Hey, sorry -- I used the wrong terminology. By "package" I meant a set
of vending machines. Each machine costs $349, and I think a set of 10
starts at like $2,990, which is a lot cheaper than most candy machines
I've looked into.

Thanks for your help! Keep the comments coming!!!! I will definitely
start asking around! These are so hip, I think I am going to also
approach, spas, salons and shopping malls.

I think they do offer very small commissions if you find others, but
it's not MLM, because it stops there. You don't keep getting paid
after that. I think you get something like $20 per new person, which
is nothing. They also advertise selling them wholesale online as well.

I saw the machine at NBVA in Las Vegas. Interesting, but not enough
for me to buy, esp. when you can pick up used so much cheaper.

Its definately pink, but what worries me is that it holds so few
tampons. The one I saw didn't look like it could handle being alone
in a bathroom. One good kick or a minute with a screwdriver and it
was toast.

Doubt you live in my area but I found a place that is
like a grocery store that sells candy and snacks for
much less than I have found before (ie. Snickers for
$.25/ea vs. $.38 at Costco). It is an independent
place that can sell dented cans, off beat products
that are not found in other major chain stores, and
even name brand items (but much less in cost). If you
live in a larger metro area or are neat one, check in
the poorer neighborhoods. You will not find places
like these in the high rent districts. As a matter of
fact, I don't even think this place is listed in the
Yellow Pages. You need to dig deeper like at the
library (under SIC code books for grocers) or ask
around to other people.

Remember, the person is probably paying the electric bill. Does this unit have
a compressor in it (drink machine)? Find out how much energy the unit consumes
and calculate the change in the electric bill. You might be getting a pretty
good deal.

$10 a month is a small price to experiment with a location. You can always
move it if things don't work out. Being an entrepeneur is about accepting some
risk and being the first to cash in where others ware afraid to tread.

Hi All,
I need some advice on buying a new machine. I have 10 Antares, the
mechanical kind, put the coin in turn the knob and out drops your snack.
The only electronics are the dollar bill changers. On my route yesterday, I
was asked if I would like to buy two more machines. But the man who owns
them and I donąt know the brand. The machines are side by side snack and
soda, the soda works off the snack side which has a bill validator and the
electronic keypad. Label at the back reads SSI DeMoine, Iowa Model # 3038-L
and #3120. He offered 2 sets for $1500 obo.
Anyone know anything about these type of machines? I think its a good
deal, but wanted to get a few more opinions. The hardest part for me would
be placing them in good locations.
Thanks,

Pam,

Personally, I buy well known machine brands. Even the
best deal on a machine less known could end up costing
you more in the long run. Even some of the best known
brands have had their corporations run into financial
trouble. When that happens your support and parts
become much more scarce. Just read through some of
the posts in this club and you will see questions
people have of machines that they are trying to find
help on. You may find a company to support a SSI
machine but for how long? I would rather pay more for
a Vendo/Dixie Narco soda or AP/Rowe (and there are a
small list of others) that I can count of to find help
than not. My opinion here of course.

Actually the manufacture of those machines is a very well known company,
they just have many names, their known to most existing vendors as USI and
some of their other names are Selectivend and FAWN, they have been building
vending machines for over 50 years, I wont call them the Cadillac of vending
machines, but they do build a lot of volume just like Ford, so just like
Ford everyone has a different opinion about them, but one thing I can tell
you, if your used to Antares, an electronic machine like that one will blow
your mind because they will double the volume at your top account. I know
another vendor who had an Antares at a school and decided to put one of
those in and his numbers doubled.

them and I donąt know the brand.
Thanks,
Pam in Sarasota County

Ya I was afraid of that (not knowing the machine was
by another company). I certainly am one who never
professes to know them all. Thanks Michael for
correcting my lack of knowledge of SSI. I did a
Google search and did not find anything but wondered
if it was related to USI with a similar name.

Hello,

Is it just me, or do others find the new plastic rings on 6 packs hard to
remove?

Here in Chicago, all Coka-Cola products changed to a different ring for holding
their 6-packs together and they are plain difficult to remove. I used to be
able to yank them off with one hand, now I have to wrestle with them with both
hands and it takes so much longer.

I am thinking about placing a couple of gumball type machines in
locations in my local area. I have heard that some locations require
that you have some type of liability insurance before you can place
your machine in there store/location. This is actually my only concern
about going forward with this plan. Is the liability issue a real
concern and does anyone carry this liablility insurance?

Thanks for all info.
Mike

Hello, I was reading a lot of the past post and no one has mentioned
(that i seen) about purchasing just a couple small machines. The one I
am looking at (location) has 6 empty gumball/toy machines in a laundry,
the other one is a laundry in a near by town. I dont know if they are
owned by the same person or not- I couldnt find a sticker on the local
ones. Anyway the ones in the nearby town need repairs the machines
have been vandalized- not sure when or why. The ones here just set
empty. Any and all opionions would be appreciated.. and sorry about
the spelling.
