The Metropolitan Washington, DC, Area Council of Governments is soliciting nominations for its annual "Commuter Connections Employer Recognition Awards." Awards will be given for outstanding telework, commuter incentives, and marketing programs. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony held during June 2007 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

"Telework 101 for Employees" and "Telework 101 for Managers" training modules may be found at http://www.telework.gov. These modules include information to assist with pandemic influenza planning. This training is being offered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management at no cost and is available to all who are interested.
** USDA Graduate School Training --
February and August in Washington, DC
The USDA Graduate School is offering classroom training in "Managing a Virtual Workforce." (The course was previously entitled "Telework: The Role of Supervisors and Managers.") The training is being offered in the Washington, DC, area during February 13, 2007 and August 14, 2007.
