My kingdom for a guest author on webdesign. The PostRanger.com stream
on webdesign
http://indiemusic.typepad.com/web_design/
Has had no interest despite some invites going out. I really see this
as a stream for both experts and newbies and I was really hoping to
wind up with equal portions of nonexperts talking about how they
assembled their personal or business websites with little or no help
and experts talking about the high end of this thing. But the interest
I've seen thus far in the site is 0. Anybody out there interested in
contributing? There's a share of the growing link love for anyone who
helps out. mailto:editor@...
Hey,
http://www.postranger.com needs some guest contributors for our web
design stream.
http://indiemusic.typepad.com/web_design/
Whether you're a professional web designer or a small business
entrepreneur able to share some tips for the novice about how you built
your own site we'd LOVE to hear from you. Send me an e-mail.
editor@... And I'll get you set up with a free guest author
account. You can ad to your visibility on our network not to mention
getting back links to whatever websites you maintain.
Have been extremely busy giving me little time to post here but for
those of you who haven't followed it we officially launched
www.postranger.com.
The below link gives you more info on what PostRanger is, what it does
and how you can get involved:

Posts on http://www.bootstrapme.com for Sept. 25 and 26 give a good
overview of the l;aunch for those who missed it. I'm really hoping to
get more people involved.
There's also a new e-mail address for anyone who would like to try
guest blogging.
Send your request with a recommended topic from our "Streams" category
on the main site to editor@... and I'll send you a free
invitation.

Numbers of those signing up to contribute on our new blog community
network are growing even though not all of them have started posting
yet. If you know anyone who would be interested in contributing to any
of these blogs or would like to suggest a new one drop me an e-mail.

Great first post for Bill Keyser. The link is above but you'll likely
have to copy it into your browser since Yahoo! formatting makes links
more than a line in length difficult.
Actually Bill's is the first post on the new network besides mine and
I'm hoping the momentum will keep on growing. By the way, TypePad
support tells me no new invites are necessary to ad more posts so keep
your guest author password, please don't share it and post whenever you
have something that suits the topic. We hope to have a main blog soon
to give the new network a name and more of a face. (More on that
later). Meanwhile if you'd like to become a guest host on what I
believe is going to become a burgeoning social network please send me
an e-mail and I will get you a free invitation. We're also hoping to
provide some photos that can be used free of charge for posts to
brighten up their appearance. More on that later as well. For now,
great guest post, spread the word and let's hope many more are on the
way!
I made a post at your new blog - thanks for the invitation. Maybe
others might like to have a look - it's about pitching business on the
Web. What feedback?
best
Will

By the way, I've sent out some invites for a new venture, a blog network/social community where I'm hoping to build a community of guest bloggers to boost collective SEO through inbound links. The gateway to the site, hosted at TypePad for now, is: http://indiemusic.typepad.com/n10ah/ This will give you access to our Indie Music Stream. Then look down one side or the other for the other Streams available. Most are nothing more than topics at the moment, but if you see one, two, three however many that you would like to be a guest author for send me an e-mail and I will send you a personal invitation allowing you to set up a guest TypePad account. The idea is to have a community of guest post contributors who benefit through visibility and links back to their blogs, websites. It's easy and free. We'll also have some opportunities for those interested in selling on line ads once we get things up and running.

Thought I'd start by saying hi. Most of you know me as Lord Matt
(lordmatt.co.uk) from MyBlogLog. Feel free to check out what I do -
my latest venture being a new blog story.lordmatt.co.uk which is best
suited to fiction lovers.
Thanks for joining up! The website, after just a cursory glance, looks
great! I'm really impressed with the wide range of folks we're getting
interested in this site. Hope to see more! Don't forget to tell other
people about us and feel free to ad links to your own blogs and
websites here. to keep members informed of your projects and what you
have to offer. To leave a link on the Yahoo! system remember to include
the http:// before the URL. Also longer links that are broken by the
end of a line of text will probably not be shown as full links. Here's
an example, in the case of my own site http://www.bootstrapme.com
I bootstrapped my last two businesses and am at it again. You can take
a look at my info on bootstrapping at my website, so you can get a
sense of where I am coming from:
http:www.worksavvy.biz/finance.htm#bootstrapping. It is a way of life.
I am passionate about entrepreneurship and counsel entrepremneurs. I
look forward to engaging in discussions.
It's probably time for some additional introductions. I'm hoping
we'll have more discussions soon once we get some more members so
remain patient and please keep checking back.

Shawn:
Glad to be part of the group. I hope I'm able to assist others with
effective small business marketing tactics, or provide referrals when
possible. Take care!

Funding from family can be a key bootstrapping technique. But managing
a family business has its own issues http://www.bootstrapme.com "Seven
tips on managing a bootstrapped family business"
Hi Cristian,
Glad you joined. Thanks for the support. I'm hoping if we spread the
word we won't be the only two here for long. Feel free to ad links to
appropriate posts on your blog since it should certainly help with
search ranking. For links on Yahoo! just ad the entire post address.
The following Bootstrapping Principle which I found on a YouTube
promotional film for Darden School of Business is rapidly becoming
something I live by or am trying to live by:
Do not buy new what you can buy used.
Do not buy used what you can lease.
Do not lease what you can borrow.
Do not borrow what you can barter.
Do not barter what you can beg.
Do not beg what you can scavenge.
Do not scavenge what you can get for free.
Do not take for free what someone will pay you for.
Do not take payment for something people will bid for.
Create an auction
Here http://www.bootstrapme.com/50226711/bootstrapping_principle.php is
my original post on it and the video it came from. Enjoy!
If you've already joined our Bootstrapper's Group here at Yahoo!
welcome and I hope you find the site helpful.
I ran the first post announcing this group on my site
http://www.bootstrapme.com just a short time ago here
http://www.bootstrapme.com/50226711/join_the_bootstrappers_group.php
But to make sure other entrepreneurs get the message, I'm going to
need your help.
If you have a blog or other website, please post something about
this group there or a link to my blog post to spread the word to as
many people as possible.
If you don't have a blog or other web presence, please e-mail the
link and a small explanation of what this group is about to as many
people as you think may be interested.
If you're a member of another Yahoo! group or frequent chat rooms or
on line bulletin boards especially where entrepreneurs congregate
please share this group with them.
We need a group to really make this community the interactive
resource I believe it can be and a little viral marketing is
porobably the best way to share the message.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Our pupose here at the Bootstrapper group is to:
1. Create a community of bootstrapping entrepreneurs who pool, share
or barter information and resources as we build and grow our
bootstrapped ventures together
2. Provide inspiration and support to those thinking about starting
a new business via bootstrapping or those already in the process of
starting or growing a business with little or no external investment
or financing
3. Dispel the belief that starting a business requires large amounts
of external funding from Venture Capital or other investors and that
small businesses started with little or no financing cannot achieve
long term success and growth
4. Create discussion not only amongst entrepreneurs but also
business coaches, advisors and other professionals able and willing
to help the bootstrapping entrepreneur community accomplish its
goals for a stronger better economic future
5. Promote a revolution in the world of business in which hard work,
imagination and ingenuity replace deep pockets, politics and
fundraising as the foundations upon which new ventures are built.
Thanks for joining!
