Topic: Design and Display of Effective Dynamic Message Sign Messages
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) are a key component in Advanced Transportation Management Systems. DMS are used to communicate traffic information to motorists. It is important for DMS messages to be both effective and consistent. This webinar will discuss how human factors affect motorists' comprehension of DMS messages and will also focus on the design of effective messages for highway traffic incidents and work zones. DMS message format, reading time, and legibility will be discussed.
