Does anyone have a tool that will terminate Amp PN 553257-1 50 position
Back-to-back champ connector. I believe that Amp's tool number is 230506-3
without the arbor press or 230506-1 with the press. Please advise ASAP, we
had a loaner lined up but it fell through. We have a one time requirement

I am near the end and could appreciate anyones help with this one. We
have a Carpenter model # 32 tubing and ribbon cable cutter that is on
the "fritz". This machine is obsolete by Carpenter as well as the
replacement part we are looking for. Does anyone have a machine that
they are not using that they would sell or know where to get the
solenoid(part # 3532) for this beast?

All thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you!!

Judy---sorry we can't help with welding. We have some assemblies where we
join larger gauge wires (8AWG) using T&B 546XX "two way connectors" that we
crimp in a hydraulic press. Perhaps you could investigate and propose this
as an alternative. Regards

Hello All,
We ran into a similar situation last year. Our old flat cable and tubing
machines were giving out left and right. We discovered a little company
called AMTI. We purchased model 122 and have had no problems! These machines
are very reasonably priced, have excellent warranties and for product
support you won't find a better group of folks to work with. Customer
service is excellent.
If you find you can't get parts, I highly recommend giving them a look.
Here's the website: http://www.amti-products.com/modelinfo.html

Mark - I'm not familiar with that specific machine but similar
machines use a spring wrap clutch to drive the cutter blade from
a rotating shaft. (Specifically Eubanks) There are only a couple
mfg of this kind of part and we found a name somewhere on the
device. A call to the spring wrap clutch company solved our
obsolete replacement problem.

I guess "surplus" is when the office screws up and "scrap" is
when the shop screws up. And don't fib to me, everybody has
surplus scrap !

Our surplus teflon wire is in prime shape, still on the original
spools. It glistens in the Oregon sunshine as the sun slowly sets
in the west. A light dew caresses it every morning. This stuff is
so perfect, all you have to do is point it towards a cutting
machine and it falls apart in the exact lengths required. Whisper
sweet nothings under it's insulation and a beautiful red strip
appears along it's entire length.

But wait, there's more. If you act now and call us in the next 10
minutes, we will include, absolutely free, a matching spool of
black wire. Operators are standing by.

-bill

It's WHMA's policy to not have member companies to place want ads; however,
qualified people seeking executive positions within our industry may contact
me and offer to email their resume. As appears below, please find such a
resume. ( I did not make it an attachment due to the recent email
attachment virus scares.)
